  1. Im using the same battery as the little blue one i originally bought stopped working when the lead freyed at the battery end. The lead for the new battery is much more durable.
  2. I bought my ns200 in January after my local gunshop kindly lent me their demo version for a couple of weeks. Nearly a year later im still very happy with the unit and have used it extensively on pcps, springers, 22lr and .17hmr. The only other unit i looked at was the n550 which although very good just isnt as versatile (or cheap!) as the ns200.
  3. Hello mate, yes the rifle is a .177 bsa Ultra. Good little rifle which ive been using for over a year now.
  4. Last night i had a trip out to a ratting permission a few miles from my house . I hadnt been shooting for a couple of weeks so really looked forward to a bit of ratting. There were definatley a few about as i spotted a couple as i pulled into the yard. I decided on my usual tactics of walking around and stopping at known hot spots and shooting off the sticks which has worked well in the past. There was a full moon and every step i took made a squelch as its seriously waterlogged around the grain barns and maze of broken pallets/discarded building materials that make up this shoot plus the su
  5. I found an even better way of reducing glare from the n200's screen was by using computer monitor screen material. Much more affective than the the camera gel filter i was originally using.
  6. Ive got insa dakars 195 r15's on my td4 freelander Fairly noisy but then i only use the truck for shooting and dont do any motorway miles in it.
  7. Im on my fourth 4x4 having previously owned a vitara which was a good vehicle although limited on space and pretty thirsty being a petrol 1.6 a fourtrack which was awesome offroad fitted with at2's but suffered from the 'tin worm' and didnt make it through its last mot and a td5 Disco which i loved. I now have an old 5 door td4 Freelander which i use purely for shooting. Its fitted with insa dakar tires and is ideal for my needs. I do less than 4k a year and all my permissions are within 10 miles of my home so its also economical enough for me to run all year round.
  8. Good skills mate i love shooting rats with my Ultra.
  9. I would say the ns50 used in conjunction with an mtc scope would be an ideal combination. I use a 25mm tubed mtc Mamba lite on my .17hmr and a 30mm tubed mtc viper on my 22lr and they work very well with my ns200.
  10. Ive owned my ns200 since january and have had no problems other than not being overly impressed with the supplied house brick battery which i soon replaced with one of those little blue ones. Incidentally i bought my ns200 in preference to an n550. The n550 although very good just wasnt versatile enough for my shooting. I.e im always switching nv between different rifles depending on the type of vermin control im doing.
  11. maybe but ive seen plenty of threads with people complaining about reticle and zero'ing problems
  12. Thats a fantastic pic! Ive seen a few grass snakes my way recently and there have been plenty of adder sightings but ive yet to see one myself.
  13. I use exactly the same for my cocker mate.
  14. Hello mate shame you cant get down to me ive got a couple of good ratting permissions.
  15. Been using Muck boot Tay Sport for the last 5 years about ready for a new pair now but they have stood up well.
  16. All i know i attended my local rememberance day service with my wife and my 8 year old daughter (who was with her brownie contingent) proudly wearing my medals and thinking about the sacrifices past and present that men and women have made for this country.
  17. Ive owned both and prefer the 97k just my personal opinion though
  18. If you could meet anywhere near Lincoln i would take this.
  19. Lovely photo's! I saw a Kingfisher yesterday while walking my Cocker Louie along the river.
  20. Another vote for the cz's. I have 30 year old brno model 2 which was very cheap and is a tack driver basically an early version of the cz452. My hmr is a cz452 and also a great inexpensive rifle. Both rifles benefitted from a trigger kit which is a cheap modification.
  21. Ive had this with some of the rabbits on one of my permissions. The internal organs were ok so i still fed them to the dog and he had no complaints.
  22. Nice rifle mate dont suppose your out Lincoln way at all?
  23. Good piece of info. Im using an Angel eye dvr on my ns200 which for the money is ok for now but definatley going to eventually upgrade To a 'lawman' .
