  1. Its gale force winds here at the moment so i decided to shoot in relative comfort on one of my permissions which is a large grain barn. Shot these scalys and 3 more probables.
  2. Bought my .177 Ultra tactical back in October of last year and have shot a couple of hundred rats and plenty of bunnies with it since as well as a fair few corvids. I find it a great little rifle easily as accurate as my mates hw100 and the mk2 rapid ive just bought. The ultra's shortness and lightweight makes it an ideal Nightvision platform and it carries my ns200 well. The cocking mechanism has never given me any problems and im yet to 'double load' which some users seem to find it easy to do. I use a Weihrauch sound mod which is more than adequate. In my opinion its one of the best value
  3. I remember it well! I was 16 and watched Live Aid in my next door but one neighbours back garden. They had the extentsion lead out and their telly on a collapsible table in the back garden . It was a really warm day from what i can remember and my mates back garden was full of people having a good time. I remember it so well as i got totally hammered on home made wine that my mates parents were handing out. Great memories and great music. Didnt believe the cause was right though always thought Geldolf was a bit of a nob and that there was enough wrong in this country...
  4. Good shooting thats a real robo rat
  5. Nice bag there! Cant beat shooting scabby ferals.
  6. Nice writeup and nice shooting
  7. A few more from the same shoot last night.
  8. Earlier this week i was lucky enough to pick up two permissions from the same farmer. One is a rabbit shoot and the other a rat shoot. The rat shoot i visited earlier on today for a quick recce. The rat shoot consists of a big old fashioned grain barn with breeze block walls with wooden interior support beams and a mainly wooden roof. Inside its mostly open with only a couple of interior walls and with little grain in it at the moment. There was a large amount of rat droppings and numerous holes inside and even more of both outside!! 30yds or so from the main grain barn is another open bri
  9. I use the cobra merlin dsa on my ns200. Pricey but worth the dosh imo.
  10. My .177 ultra is zero'd at 15yds as its soley used for ratting at the moment although this zero makes it flat shooting to 30yds. My .22 rimmie is zero'd at 50yds and my fac rapid at 30yds.
  11. Up for sale is my 7 seater Disco td5 on a 53 plate. The disco has 12months m.o.t and 6 months tax. The only thing the disco failed on the recent mot was a track rod assembly. Condition isnt bad at all but does have a small car park dent on the rear drivers side quarter and a crack on the drivers side bumper (honest description!). Mileage is 109k with nearly full service history. Ive owned the Disco for over 3 years and in that time have had the standard oil pressure regulator replaced which is a common failure on the td5 and i also had a recon p.a.s box fitted and all the flow/return pipewo
  12. If its a mk1 i would avoid like the plague they leak like fook! Lad at a club i used to belong to had a mk1 and when he didnt have it in bits trying to find leaks (which was most of the time) is was an accurate rifle but they are just too unreliable imo.
  13. Try and get hold of an old brno model 2 better build quality than the cz452 imo. Paid £100 s/h for mine and £50 for the barrel to be shortened. Took a couple of coils off the trigger spring and its now an excellent little rifle.
  14. The trigger on my old brno model 2 was very stiff when i bought it all i did was to trim a couple of coils off the trigger spring and its now fine didnt need a trigger kit.
  15. Went again this afternoon and shot these from the same shed.
  16. Scope is located near Kings Lyn i had a pm from the seller....
  17. I had a couple of hours shooting in the farmyard yesterday afternoon and shot these near a huge heap of sileage. I shot from an elevated position in a cow shed and had a good backstop in the way of a mound of earth and straw bales around the sileage. Shot a similar number the day before. There was no wind so not too many birds about.. Shots were at 50-55yds. Rifle is my 31 year old brno model 2, ammo eley subsonics.
  18. I use the same battery on my ns200. Its cock on and a lot lighter than the supplied lump!
  19. I used to be a member of a couple of shooting clubs but now just go as a guest. Im off this sat and will be shooting my mates Mosin nagant rifle a .303 no4 Enfield and hopefully a .303 Jungle carbine. Will post some pics on here when i get back
  20. I personally hardly ever use bait but if i do as ARRAN has already suggested i use smooth peanut butter.
  21. I had an unfortunate experience with a s/h Axsor. Seller swore it was perfect.. Got it home it lost its air within a couple of days (obviously had a leak when i bought it). Took it to the airgun doctor and £75 later leak fixed. I then sold the Axsor as i had lost faith in it. A couple of months down the line the lad who bought it off me emailed me to say it was leaking again! I wouldnt touch another with a barge pole but thats just my opinion.
  22. I used to own a Beretta 391 semi auto and that seemed to have pretty low recoil... less than the escort i had.
  23. Put a lot of hours on the bank but all worth it when you catch a good 'un'. I had plenty of 'blank' sessions too mate. keep at it will come good in the end
