  1. Nice buy! I have one in black synthetic and its an excellent shottie. Had it nearly two years now and it hasnt missed a beat in this time cyling the 28 and 32g carts ive put through it. Some of the gun snobs look down on them but imo for the money they cant be beat. Atb Mick
  2. I recently bought a Webley lite w-8 and had leaking problems from the off. As mine wasnt pre- anti tamper i had to get someone to drill it out. Turned out the valve stem was knackered and an '0' on the main valve was also gone. The Axsor/raider/fx 2000/lite w-8 are all basically the same action and easy to work on. My lite w-8 is now sorted very consistent over the chrono and once i get my divers bottle back from being filled is going to be an excellent ratting gun.
  3. I totally agree! Ive owned a number of 22lr's including a cz452 and couldnt fault it especially fitted with a Brooks trigger kit. With a Sak mod and shooting eley or winnie subs the loudest noise you'd here was the impact of the bullet hitting the grass munchers skull. I also briefly owned a cz .17 and thought it way overratted. Much too noisy, after the first shot the rabbits just scattered. Plus as already mentioned they arnt cheap to run prone to wind etc.
  4. Good luck lads ive just got my webley lite w-8 back after having it repaired and im desperate to get it re-zero'd and get out after the rats. But this fookin' wind has ruined that so im out from 3pm with the 12g to try and bag a few rooks as they come in to roost.
  5. cracking write up and nice pics. thanbs for sharing
  6. I own a ruger 10/22 it has a heavy match barrel and has had the mods done i.e. extractor ,recoil buffer and trigger. I love it and find it great for plinking and is a serious bunny basher. It also cyles winnie subs fine without stoppages.
  7. Nice looking fish! Its a real heart stopper isnt it when you see a carp take your hookbait off the surface

I alwayc used a crow flapper with a dead rook/crow on board. Used with an intermittant timer these are deadly.
  9. Looks like you decorated the floor with a new and interesting colour called hint of brain good shooting..
  10. Another vote for AA field, nice soft pellet that does the business. Used to use them through my old mk1 rapid too.
  11. I bought one of these s/h a couple of weeks ago for ratting more than anything. Ive found it to be excellent! Its great being able to hit those scaly tails which are too quick to hit with the rimmy/airrifle . I patterned mine at 25yds and found it to shoot a little high which isnt a problem what was good was the tightness of the pattern. I believe the barrel is full choke on these shotties which is ideal giving that the shot load is a good deal less than in a '12'. Ive put on a length of bicycle inner tube onto the mod which protects it from knocks and also gives a little more moderation
