  1. It's nice to see a very healthy litter in clean conditions with the added song birds in the background A fine litter.
  2. If you planned this litter to keep one back then your job is accomplished. I'm sure you'll know some decent homes they could go to for free and for the right reasons. If not cull the rest and be done with it. You didn't breed them for money after all..

Haha if only! I'm sure they'll be thinned out sooner or later. We've always had high numbers here.

Took a quick photo of this beauty. It took off just behind those wooden posts and cleared the path with ease.

LOL!!!Pheasant chicks? I'm guessing it's not a keepered area? Go and ask permission because someone's not keeping on top of the foxes! Don't think I saw 21 all last year lol Yes pheasants. It's a heavily populated area with foxes. This evening I counted 9 and it's still early.

    Rescue

On this mornings walk the dog found these scattered about. Approximately 10 feet away was the remains of their mum. Last night I counted 21 foxes in this area. I've put these under a heat lamp and will shortly move them under a gold top.
  9. The only problem I've got at the moment worth a mention is my younger dog, he will find fox and horse excrement and roll himself to high heaven in it. Can be pain at times. I've never owned a dog that did this. It is a game of patience and good tactics, stick with it RD, I'm sure your beddy will come through.
  10. 9yrs ago I visited, it was invitation only, I believe it still is. Hamad is a great man, his set up is beautiful. I remember it was heavily guarded. I've forgotten his name, there is a member on here that has been too, he had some great pictures taken. I'll try and locate mine out of the loft and post a couple.
  11. I'd say first of all have you had a good think about owing one. What you going to use it for? A fashion statement hanging about in the town centre with a can of special brew to hand, roaming the countryside with no permission, a family pet, or per/worker? No joking around the first two are genuine reasons why some aquire these type of dogs. I'd say really look into what you are going to use it for, type of ground and size of fields you have around you. You enjoy lamping, ferreting or just attending shows etc.. Can you afford the keep of the dog as vet bills will creep in owning a working
  12. Does anyone remember the lamping comp? I think it was around 7yrs ago and a rescued deerhound X won it.
  13. In the past I have seen springers and lurchers being homed to the wrong type of people. You only got to stop and have a chat with these dog owners, very soon they will tell you have they never allow their dogs the lead because it goes into water, bushes, chases rabbits and deer etc... Also look at the leads around those poor necks.. The wrong leads are 99% used.
  14. Young dogs are in the transitional period of their development. As dogs grow they are adapting to their body. His lack of coordination shouldn't last long and go as he matures. If he looks stiff, the bunny hopping gait is constant, or it sits to one side each time, painful to touch then I'd be bringing the dog to the vets to have X-rays to its hips, spine, although at that age no evidence may show up. I don't think you have anything to worry about for now. I'm no vet, you make the call by your own observations. Good luck
  15. Cheers, well he's doing well, very confident and out in the day with my older dogs. I think it's nice to allow him to join in the general mooching process. Typically he does have a high prey drive and wants to get stuck in, but his immature muscles and skeleton just nowhere near ready. He took to basic commands very quickly and doesn't bat an eyelid to livestock, however he's not too sure around the Buffalo's .... I'm sure come the age of 6/7 months he will test my patience and start becoming a rebel!
  16. You're more than welcome to drive down to give a hand here. Paul, nothing wrong with fluffy ears and bushy tails, nor choosing to be deaf, and running off for an hour. That's what all saluki crosses do don't they?
  17. One week off 5months, it's a joy to train this dog.
  18. Head to Lidls, for £20 you'll get a decent amount of quality chicken breast, thighs and legs. I mix it up with beef/lamb mince. I have the same views as Arcticgun, A vulture wouldn't even decend for that crap!

    London

London England....Consider yourselves......WAR! Repeat after me f**k Queen & Country! Mr Khan will have a tough journey ahead. Don't forget Khan was born in Tooting, a true Londoner and British, as for that messy skank of a man Boris who was born in the USA... Anyway he was the people's choice, and I couldn't give a flying frisbee as I choose not to trust any of them. Power to the people!!!
  20. A nice touch there, good luck and enjoy the summer months.
  21. I've never seen a Collie/Grey kill a fox, and the reasons for this was: A. I owned one that was shite and loved the feel of their brush than anything else. B. I've witnessed 2 other collie greys that had the balls to approach one, but fannied around at point of contact not finishing the job. Pretty quick movers and good all day on rabbits with indestructible feet. This post was for "The Experienced" I'm sure they will be on soon to answer.
  22. Project Poacher was started by a 15yr old lad, basically a student in IT. He designed 3 posters and an app to report suspicious people/vehicles possibly linked to poaching. No doubt this youngster will and has made tidy sum of money.
  23. So heated, like religion topics... There are many Romanian and French travellers, gypsies whatever you want to call those people flocking every piece of grassland, layby and newly opened bypass. I'd rather have the Irish/British travelers than the other two around me that's for sure. Beast, they won't be there for long, I can assure you that.
  24. Super little dogs, with huge hearts willing to gamble.
