  1. The idea of Bokeh is that the subject should be crisp and the fore and back ground should be blown with colour. I'm not seeing any crispness with the pics ..... if they're not sharp and bang on in focus then they won't show Bokeh properly....IMO.
  2. If i had to start again I would go with Nikon........but I've too much moneys worth of canon now to change things.....
  3. and in mine canon are better. ....;p I'm a canon user............ nikon have better colour imo.....better lens focusing..........
  4. Great pics mate....it makes me smile when people say that it's due to the decent lens and camera set-up that you get good pics....IMO it's all about who is on the other end of the lens....... top class...JD
  5. The places I used to haunt over stump cross way are almost devoid of rabbits. I don't think they'll ever bounce back, not in my lifetime... Still, better to have loved and lost.............
  6. I use a 2 pence piece and a kill bar on the front, and trim back the trigger plate Pimp my trap....lol Bling as fcuk!
  7. I use a 2 pence piece and a kill bar on the front, and trim back the trigger plate
  8. If Charlie Hebdo happened to be run by Front National or any other right wing group of people...... instead of a group of liberal lefties and feminists do you think it would of been left to run unchallenged on a national scale ?..........straightforward question. Bang on......
  9. tut...That's barely run in. ........ Mines not too far away from a quarter of a million miles..... but I'm seriously considering getting rid of it soon as there's some dreadful noises. The funny thing is though, they all vanish if you turn the radio up!
  10. Great post! I was the same, I wonder if the Dales rabbits makes everyone like that? If we didn't get thirty then we had the bottom lip out and wouldn't go home until we got over that figure. It was too easy in a way, but you get drawn into battling with yourself over that one more bunny syndrome. And heaven forbid if another team had gotten more.....when competition takes over the fun goes out of it all IMO....and now the places where we used to take all those rabbits from are almost rabbit less.....we thought the rabbits were like the magic pot of porridge; a never ending supply, but like all
  11. Make sure you're fit.....No huffing and puffing.....
  12. I never pay them either, not if they're private. They will send threatening letters. Best just ignoring them no matter what. They have got to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it was you in the car. They tried to fine me ;last year as I'd left my car at a services and lamped all night. Returned at 5am, and a week later got a 'fine'.....what annoys me is that the DVLA sells your information to these companys, and thats very wrong IMO.

  15. I know exactly what you mean, Most seasons I'm looking forward to jacking it all in for the summer. The last month is a bit of a blow-out, a mad dash to dot all the I's and cross a few T's, and tick off a few things. You're flat out like a crazed mad-man til the end and it sure feels good to have a lie in on a sunday morning, or to do 'normal' things. Not that any of us are normal. The older you are, the quicker it goes and you realise that you'd better cram as much in as you can 'cos you're sure as hell not going to be here forever. Like you once thought you would be. My 'Bucket list' is a
  16. Doing numbers, be it rabbits, hares, deer or fox (pre ban), takes a hell of alot of doing and the older you get the harder it becomes. If isn't just the running or the carrying, its the travelling that is a killer. Mile after mile of tail lights and white lines and motorway '50' zones. There's only one kind of man who will do this, and thats the kind who is obsessed with the game. Doing three six hour round trips a week and lamping all night is not for everyone, but for others it is a great adventure. Getting home at 9am, eyes burning and the dog's just about done for. But with a day of rest y
  17. Great little vid...you'd be better off handing them in rather than netting them. Its so much easier and you won't have to untangle trebles from the net. Cracking perch...
  18. You mean Leeds and District? For pike go up over two stiles and fish the deeper, slower water. the last time i was there the place was a dump, lots of litter everywhere. not the kind of place i want to visit again, i have so many great memories of Asenby, but i want to remember it for what it was, and not for the dump it has become now. Why not go up to Topcliffe? Nice pike there too.... Fish the lower part of the pool below the weir if its pike you want. We used to fish for barbel there, I once caught a 6 incher there on a big cube of garlic sausage. Don't know how it got it in it
  19. The problem with heavies can't be seen while shooting at targets at known distances. However, in a hunting situation where you have got to suss out the hold over (or under) in a split second I fear that they have a too greater trajectory. I have always like a light pellet for hunting, one that is as flat as possible and will require less holdover. But thats JMHO.
