    I know where im welcome to work with my dogs, and i always make sure they are seen in a positive light and doing a good profesional job..... for those that go 'over the fence' taking the piss, causing damage, or killing and leaving, they deserve to be delt with severely... but even worse is when genuine sportsmen and profesionals suffer for THEIR stupidity

    Ive owned more terriers and spaniel bitches than lurchers mate, only one lurcher bitch, but i dont expect the lurcher to have problems that the others wouldnt get... aye some get huffy and stroppy, some go quiet, but again, like has been said, once out working, its all forgotten. Id never take a bitch in season around other working dogs, and iv got a bitch that will snap at other bitches when in season, so i tend to work them alone or with trusted bitches they get on well with. None of mine have had a phantom so im not sure, but id probably keep them in for a bit, especially if they went fat

    About 11 years ago I had the same crazy idea that id add wild polecat blood to my ferrets..... now its a long story, but in a nutshell it was a complete waste of time and effort, and I almost ruined a good line of workers. Even the 3rd generation were shite compared to any decent working ferret. Kay, your spot on... to breed wild poley with a ferret is in fact taking one huge step backwards... only way to get better ferrets is by selectively breeding the best workers to the best workers, and as we all know, a good worker has to be very easy to handle and not shy at all of human contact.

    When I was keepering I always drove about to cover as much land as poss..... and I still do, even on the quad if I need to cover lots of ground.... I much prefer walking, its my favourite way of lamping, but like i say, if a job needs doing im going to do it as efficiently as possible.

    Ive also got a wooden Double Kennel for sale, was bought from DD Timber products about 16 months ago, so still in very good condition, not chewed, good roof etc Worth 6 to 700 but il take 500 ono for it, as its in very good condition. Il get a pic or two up over the weekend. I could deliver within reason at extra cost. Regards DnN

    been there, done it, total waste of my time, and I nearly ruined a good line of working ferrets in the process.... if anyone thinks adding euro polecat to their ferreting team is going to be a good idea... IT ISNT!

    I have for sale a spacious kennel with run. Inside it has a seperate bedding area divided from main part, also a fitted heater in rear which would be ideal for pups or a recovering dog. The attatched run is a good size. Would suit a large dog/lurcher, or a couple of small/medium dogs. Im after £175 ovno, could deliver within reason, with fuel cost on top. I will upload pictures over the weekend.... will be sold on first come first served basis. Regards DnN

    You can bet that the farmers' expectations will be different to yours .When he goes to mow or even for a casual walk across the fields and he spots a bit of moil it is going to touch a nerve if he has a contract with a mole-man to prevent such things . It won't matter to him at that moment that it might be the only bit mole -work on the farm . For a few seconds at least your name will be mud . Much better for the customer to look out of his window and think ",Tis time I called-in that nice Mr Trappa again as the moles seem to be building-up just as they did this time last year ".

    Cheers for the encouragment everyone, nice to hear! Unfortunately the missing jill is still missing, but luckily ive got a very good hob and two decent jills, as well as the youngster who needs starting, so il get through the season touch wood... Thankyou Mick for the very kind offer
