  1. Good stuff fox hunter Cant beat a good dig to keep the blood circulating in this weather!
  2. Ive always been an admirer of the guys that strive to keep the lines working, however more improvements regarding the joint issues, through correct breeding needed before I would commit to aquiring a Clumber. Nice dogs though, a good steady spaniel, and relentless worker in the right hands. Good luck with the pup, I too would be keen to see how you get on with it. Regards DnN
  3. I think if you find the right dogs that are being bred, ones that perform to the standard you want, and are lucky enough to aquire a pup from the mating, then you will be in with a very good chance of bringing on a good allrounder. Ive seen one or two very useful all round workers of this exact breeding myself. Good luck mate
  4. Same from me Lamp + Battery, give me a call if you want a night out with the dogs on the bunnies.

  6. Well if they are like most other wildcats (I don't see why they wouldn't be), you seem to be doing everything right. All I would suggest is to keep running those snares along the game trails (as I got a bobcat like that once), and calling at night should probably work as well. You could probably look into other types of traps as well such as regular steel foothold or padded steel foothold traps if they are legal, and baiting them with some sort of bobcat or mountain lion lure, or if nothing else just some sort of meat. Just make sure you check to see if you would be able to use these. Anot
  7. Shotgun front seat! LOL we could probably russel up a decent team to join in.
  8. I was always told by the older generations that the modern fox terrier is just a russel that has been fukd up by the show lot over the last 100+ years... the show type kept hold of the origional name of fox terrier, and the working type became known as Jack Russels, Is this true?
  9. Merlins sister... boy blues grand-daughter. Shes has made a natural daytime rabbiter/ferreter, no end of stamina, good turn of speed, phenomenal nose.
  10. Done my complaint.... I think another march would be a great idea, but best to wait until AFTER the election, as we could see the REPEAL of the hunting act if the conservative party gain power.... if they dont live up to their promises, then we should ALL... MARCH MARCH MARCH MARCH!!!!!! By the way... James, no your wrong im affraid... its only legal if flushing to a gun!
  11. Well done lads, thats a nice dig...you look well chuffed! Well done to your terrier
  12. At least there IS a strain of terrier now that the diehard ratters and rabbiters can opt for without wasting a terrier from digging lines...... thats my opinion.
  13. Hi Jacrabbit, My view is that you have come onto a hunting site, and pointed out that you are AGAINST hunting fox, your own words(ANTI!)... this was never going to go down very well in my opinion. But you contradict yourself by then saying your ok with pest control? Also, you seem to have fallen for the media crap, and confuse the terms badger digging with badger 'baiting'... and like was explained to you, the two things are worlds appart.... one is humane pest control, and will see no suffering to the badger. The other is not. As for disagreeing with killing feral cats... well, they h
  14. Tell us what you do to help wildlife Bob?
  15. Your a prime example of one of these avid readers of all the media, and belives every hyped up piece of crap ever written.... Like I said ive rarely heared such rubbish!
  16. Ive rarely seen one person talk so much rubbish on this site until Bob came along.... well done mate, something to be proud of!
  17. Got to say, they all look like cracking young dogs! Credit to spiderpig and the owners, i hope they work out well for you all
  18. .... but you need more than one for a decent meal!
  19. They sound like my last landlords .... hope they dont cause too much grief over christmas, for you and the family... good luck mate
  20. Not sure? I suppose it depends on the stamp of pup it threw. ive always been a great fan of the russell cross whippets, the ones ive seen and heard about are great wee workers..... so guessing if a grey was used instead of the whippet, would the resulting pups would be a larger version????????? That bloke was breeding for breeding's sake, no thought about working qualities etc...he used a short legged type russel ffs, and if memory serves me correctly, he had been deleted several times previously under different names. Not sure what made him get rid of them all, but im sure he ended up findi
