  4. like to take pups to shows, get them used people+dogs, the only thing i'll show him its what's in the field What do you think of the pup? ray BIRD
  5. Bryn 11 months old is 24ins 58lb, a little update on him. Daytime so far hes had 3 mixy rabbits 1 pheasant. Night time, 1st night on the lamp, 1st run in the lamp caught and retrieved straight back. Fecking brilliant over the moon with him. Gonna make a great rabbiting dog, with his size and strength and a fair pace. Should be able to tackle anything. I think he has bags of potential. Heres some pics BIRD
  6. Spot on, get a good 1x or 3/8 collie 5/8 grey male, will do rabbits +deer, and smash foxes , and take a few hares. If you can get a good one , you wont beat them. BIRD
  7. Fair point, as i only keep one dog, it will have to do every thing on its own. BIRD
  8. Bad luck mate, hope you have more luck with your new pup. BIRD
  9. Yes the rope, say 15feet rope, then get close if it makes a move lift the fecker right of its feet, with LEAVE. It does work, you have got to do it every day and night. From a 40lb to a 80lb dog get your timing right, and you will lift it right of its feet BIRD
  10. Nice dogs, that little bitch looks a handy type of dog. BIRD
  11. Are they ped or no ped whippets, i had a no ped bitch 19ins 20lb, and she was ok for 30 odd run's in the lamp. She was racing whippet from cannock [west midlands]. Some of the dogs[ males] were 21ins 34lb, and would tackle anything. With dogs like these you dont need small lurchers, the only thing they lack were a thicker coat, that you might get from a whippet x BIRD
  12. BEST DOGS IN THE WORLD and ive only had couple pints BIRD
  13. Use RED, its good for rabbits+foxes to begin with, but after while they get used to it and feck off BIRD
  14. At 12months old, maybe another 1" but thats about it, if its a deerhound type lurcher, they can keep growing up to 16 to 18 months old, small type lurcher about 10 months old. BIRD
  15. Ive had both, i seem to get on better with dogs than bitches BIRD
  16. Same here, a lurcher of any x as got to be 100 times better than any ped dog. BIRD
  17. Ive been married 26 years this year, and we still feckin argue. . We seem to argue over my son who is 21, my wife thinks the sun shines out of is arse I think when women have kids, they loose part of there brain RANT OVER ray BIRD
  18. Yes mate, they should make good workers in the right hands, what will the pups sell for.?? BIRD

    How Much ?

22£quid, once a year= jab + don worm tabs 2 = 42£quid = 81pence a week which is feck all two dogs= 1£ 62pence it ant even a price of a pint beer ok if you have 5 or 6 dogs, it can get expensive. but if you have 1 or 2 dogs its nothing , 1£ 62 pence a week.???? BIRD
  20. All good advice, but when they do catch there first rabbit or 6 rabbits, alot of retrieving training can go out of the window . Most pups get there in the end, just give it time. BIRD
