    yeh true mate, if only though , another child fighting for its life, been attacked by a pitbull type , its on here in the page with the link to it .And ive always said you get more dog attacks in the summer , people/kids are out more, and these type dogs will be out as well .The owners of these type dogs dont know the 1st thing about how to train a dog, socialise them, so you end up with a dangerous dog , i was brought up with bull breeds staffs,pit,bull mastiffs , never any probs , because they were cared for properly with all my family, they were never loosed off leads unless

    Deff get them out as soon as possible , Bryn was out at 4 months old, he caught near on 100 rabbits by 11 months , Buck was out even younger 10 weeks old, and he caught plenty rabbits by 13 months old , best bag was 38 rabbits one night, not bad for a dog that not really bred for rabbits . When there young pups they got plenty of energy just watch them play all day long, just channel that out on the walks , so they see fences ,ditches, stock, etc , and they know what these are , and know how to deal with them. because once they get there legs and bit of stamina , they will

    i seen that at my place , the 1st week we moved here, it had young blackbird , and was eating it alive. i know it the law of nature , but fookin hell hard to watch at times .!! its a pity they dont eat bloody slugs , now that be good nature lol .

    , your are right regards lurchers and kids, the do bring out the best in each other, and really when you think about what they can do in the field , but show a gentile side it to kids , Buck very full on his quarry, but as said really nice + soft with kids i am very happy with that .     great pics of the little'un and the dogs, ive always said lurchers are one of the best temp in any dog, my dogs love kids ,Buck brill with them very gentle , with bit of luck i will be having grandchild this july , if all goes well with the mother , she had few prob before , so fingers x crossed

    fair point , yeh its when you want that bit more than catching few rabbits , that the breeding counts .But like anything else you got start from scratch and most is a 1x what ever the x collie,bull,etc x back to a running dog, the the 1x is just the start , if good dogs then x to a good bitch and take it from there. i ve been lucky with my 2 1xs both not bad workers, and the big dog Buck the better of the 2 deff .
