    It's just a discussion pal there's nothin wrong with that n im sure what's being discussed will be either pre ban, all above board and within the current law or abraud.. The problems come when you post pictures on facebook of your dog with a hare and you in your trackie bottoms and trainers... Agree pal I'm not on it but Iv heard it's unbelievable the stuff that gets put on there, to many tossers in the game now n then the few genuine lads get tarred with the same brush real shame..

    I like whippets n whippet types there real good fun I might even get a brace one day but as already said its not just about having a run on a small field as drop on a gudden that knows what a dog is on tricky land n one field can become 2 n 2 can become 5 it would be cruel to ride the gauntlet like this regular with dog that doesn't have the tools for the job, get a pup from the right strain of saluki lurcher that throw quick agile yet durable dogs with a good gob n gearbox, hope yours gets all the right genes raise it like a champ hope for a bit a luck n hey presto..

    A lot seem to think that just because the field is only a few acres that the run will be other with after a couple of bends then onto the next which is not always the case, if it's the right time of year n just a few guddens on the land n then you drop on a gudden with a few tricks up its sleeve n hare gets out n dog knows her job n can jump n hedge then it can have a right battle on its hands so needs the right weapons in its arsenal, so not just as simple as goin runnin a few early season duffers with a speed machine, then of course they gota last n do the job season after season not always

    Many different crosses will stop a few but dead of winter n out regular the best daytime dog for small land the same dog for big land "Saluki lurcher", but the right type and also then brought on right will do the job in most places..

    It's a real hard game now for one reason or another as for numbers a lot of places are struggling and a shadow of there former it's not hard to ruin a half decent spot over a few years with over hunting combined with mixi weather n buzzards etc but there's still a cpl decent spots about n as long as folk stop hassling them in the summer n take no more than needed through the season and naming such places all over the Internet then they have a chance at least atb..

    Yeh I was thinking the same seen as I give meat already that an 20 may not suit so went for one of there 50 50's n a 60 40 n both seem to be an ideal addition to there usual mix so far..

    It's surprising how many use the greyhound foods as the ingredients in them are absolute shite but the dogs somehow seem to do ok on it.. As said these top end foods aren't to bad if you've only a dog or 2 n even if quite a few dogs used as a top up to a natural diet they last a fair while, I'm using Millie's as a top up right now and have to say so far it's the best of any top end biscuit I've used..

    Jump over the average farm gate and you will find a Border.Id not use a straight Border,a lurcher based Collie would serve far better purpose,good luck.I don't know if he has a dog for stud or not but there was a member called collie John who keeps good 3/4 collie dogs maybe somebody on here could let you know or put you in touch with him atb..

    That totw was 40 odd for 13 kg driffter but just used as a top up seems to last ages even with a few dogs but Iv given it them it on its own a couple times n must admit although not as bad some completes there's still a fair bit more wast from it than with a home made diet mate..

    Sounds decent grub that Akela then, I'm with you in that you can't beat a good raw diet but think topped up with a small amount of the right biscuit adds that bit extra..

    To the lads that feed grain free due to put an order in next week so wonderd which do you prefare and if millies which one for lurchers n spaniels as they seem to have quite a varied range, mine are on totw as an addition to there raw at the min n doin well enough but dont mind tryin others to see if any difference cheers..

    A lot a doggin lads ain't much better goin out in the summer runnin pregnant hares fat hares n leverets 2 dogs on one rabbit n all that, agree tho I don't like these big hare shoots but i have no problem at all with shooting and a lot of these shoots are as said to keep dog lads off especially when drivin crops n they in turn wreck the job for the good dog lads that try n do the job right..

    Ok for the odd one and can be good fun but never seen a greyhound saturated dog that when taken to the next level didn't end up gettin smoked injured or killed..

    The reason for my comment is the things Iv seen while working on the door seen some bad people and some bad things happen I certainly wouldn't want a daughter or son of mine for that matter going out on the piss now or in the future obvious reasons for daughters but for sons you've got other teams of lads carrying knives n tooled up etc of course you can't always wrap em up in cotton wool n people should be able to do what they want but weather we like it or not it doesn't work that way it's that bad out there now, I'm also a big believer in giving yourself half a chance by keeping yourself ou
