I remember reading about the Swedish flower they were commanding silly money as was only couple of people who had them in the uk back when I was I to keeping chickens , first ones I had were lilac Andalusians they were to flighty I sold them to a breeder who wanted to expand his flock , I had Norfolk greys they were lovely and calm , Had Brahma bantams which were probably my favourite and seramas . Also had Japanese x Pekins . oh and I have had barnevelders they were nice and quiet . I nearly had salmon faverolles but when I went to view them the stock looked diseased so

Yeah used to be couple of strands of barbed wire and picket type fence posts , across streams an even used as gates when I was a kid .

Well I’ve not watched the vid but seen pics and at the risk of being called a twat I reckon the copper was in the wrong , typical knee jerk over reaction by ramming it and no doubt damage to the cop car , which would had to be taken out of use and money spent on . Has it been mentioned how the beast was loose ?

There’s a wood on edge of village surrounds a old cheese /coleslaw factory always had few rook/jackdaw nests when it was operatable they controlled the numbers it’s been shut few years now turned into small industrial units and no one bothers . And for last 4? years noticed the rooks are on neighbours bird feeders and roofs at dawn making a racket , was about 8 on neighbours lawn last week at 6am .

Not urban but what looks like a sika hind dead in ditch just outside my childhood village, only used to be roe around there . They are really spreading across Dorset now .

Or a Brittany type ? my sister had a show bred spaniel oh back in 80s ? It was a tall thing jumped Barb wire fences like a lurcher , few years back I seen it’s double so went and talked to the owner and she was from nz it was apprently half show strain /half working ?

Think there’s been similar breeding in pig dogs and deer tracking dogs but end of day it comes down to each individual dog the time put into it and the chances it’s given work wise . On a side note there’s the Python hunter guy on YouTube and instagram his wire haired pointer hunts feral hogs , scents pythons and their nests and dispatches and retrieves wounded iguanas .very impressive multi tasking animal .
