    I’ve forgotten loads as been 5 years since I had mine but I knew fresh chicken manure scorched plants but didn’t know other animals would , I assumed it would just make the weeds grow like hell, I always put mine on the ground over winter then dug it at spring but I’m sure when planting seed potatoes I put well rotted horse manure in the trench ?? I knew onions would keep fly off carrot if sown alongside them think marigolds I put along side salad greens and nasturtium would be along bottom of my plot where the fence line bordered the track as it was stonier there I didn’t grow much plus

    Oh yes but it used to be same here years ago couple of dogs do something an have a certain trait and the whole breed stereotypically gets labelled the same .

    Nice to hear from you again sb @Aussie Whip I remember reading an nz pig hunting book and they deemed the breed as a bit of sheep muncher ? shame really as they can be switched on loyal dogs .

    2 in Weymouth /portland been following an trying to film girls and women and another on Portland . And a barge resident was trying to steal out the food bank donation Trolley in Portland Lidl .

    Yes I went to the public consultation meeting for the Forest of Dean pinemartins it was at Chepstow I was still living in Monmouthshire then . They admitted they had some in pens so it was pretty forgone conclusion they was going to be let out. think the wildcats will be next big thing .

    I remember 20 years ago going from Epping to Basildon and there would be 20 odd fallow in a field then go mile down the road there would be another bunch . Dorset has loads of sika spreading from the Poole area you can travel early morning and see similar numbers in a field that’s got woods behind it ,then couple fields down another bunch .

    It’s interesting to know which are recent escapees and which are (wild) When I was a kid there was a pair of rosellas hanging around a small overgrown disused orchard in the village they had escaped from somewhere but after month or more they disappeared.

    Where I’m to it’s robins and blackbirds at dawn with plump wood pigeons bonking on the roof everyone says you get used to the seagulls after a while but I’m only there at weekends so I don’t get used to it

    I think it was on a fb bird watching page I seen it there was talk of a colony of budgies as well . The way the peregrines are spreading as well they will be glad of the food source .

    I feel same about herring gulls they sometimes keep going through the night if there’s plenty of street lights . And really start at dawn in the summer .

    You reminded me someone pictured a ring neck in a garden in Dorset other day an a few people said they had spread all over London .but looks like they are starting to live in Dorset ?

    First time I seen a red kite was when I lived in wales in 2011 an it was near Abergavenny . Moved to Dorset in 2018 and seen pair at stourhead house in summer then would see them near blandford when hay or silage was being cut and now see them nearly every month even seen one at ringstead near Weymouth . same with polecats seen loads dead on road near Monmouth one up near Dan yr ogof caves area. couple years ago I seen one in summer near wareham and yesterday I seen one roadkill near bere Regis . Unfortunately it’s either predators or deer that’s spreading while lot of other spec

    The local One normally has a security guard on front door . But yeah my niece left Morrisons years ago because of how she was treated .

    I thought they was supposed to champion British produce etc ? Turns out they want halal slaughtered lamb.

    An if you do you get viewed as an oddball or reported or blamed if a rat is seen . I read somewhere that lawns were a sign of status that showed you didn’t have to grow your own produce . can you imagine if imported veg and other food stopped coming and people had to start growing their own bet most wouldn’t have a clue .

    Been watching that on a Monday evening on talking pictures on sky , someone told me he wasn’t that knowledgeable on country stuff and was told alot of it ,but he had a air about him that made him a good tv presenter .
