My old girl has a few tiny rips on her ears from a life time of bushing through all sorts of crap,the worse thing is you can see the marks from brambles but she's never been ripped open as such,it's the thinness of coat hairs i don't like to much but if you your on it about it then a good box and a rub down when you've finished stops any problems as it does with any terrier or short haired working dog..

A couple of 3 or so years ago my pal bought a boat from Manchester and i drove my pick up from Norfolk to pick it up,we put a new floor and repainted the boat over a couple of months,first time out at anchor i chucked up every where,this year we've had 3 or 4 boats and we've been out in silly seas in them without any bother with me chundering,first time at anchor on a calm'ish sea i was sick within half an hour,I bought some "Stugeron 15" travel sickness tablets and dropped 2 on the way to launch the boat.An hour later we were at anchor and we had a 5 hour session catching loads of fish withou

He wanted the colour above anything else and so does every plummer breeder,a white terrier with red spots is a russell..The terriers he had to start with were just rough coated russell types,no better than most and as it goes a tendancy to be mute so a bit useless before the locator box came on the scene,the Nuttal blood was added to even the size and proportions of the pups being born to beagle x russell x bull litters at the time. Went out this evening to use up the last of my time off work with some mates and tried a newish spot,i say newish as my pal used to fish there and hasn't fished it for 10 odd years.Well we went to our usual spot and got a few then we headed along the coast trolling along the way and at times we had to go out from the shore due to anglers and there lines and i kid you not we were picking odd bass up from right in front of a few of them ,we got to our spot and straight away fish were being caught on the old faithful white and red Rapala's. One thing i've always said about the plummer is the poor coat 99.9% of them have,it's thin fur is no good for harsh weather and seen a few sat shivering when the going gets slow.I wish i'd put a rough coated russell over my old bitch as a rough coated plummer type does look a smart thing.HJKC had a nice 1/2 cross with a good looking rough coat.

The bitch i lost was 12 " strongly built and well jawed,all i wanted in any sort of terrier.There was a few big plummers and there are still a good few weak headed/jawed plummers but there are also proper built plummers about.

I've enough terriers for the now but like i said they ain't thick on the ground so i won't say no as if the right bred one came along then yes i'd have another plummer no problem.Unlike the man himself good terriers don't tell lies and my old bitch has never lied to me ever and i've never had to lie about her either...

Any plummer pup sells and it don't matter what name is on the ped for them to get top money,names on paper to a punter don't mean feck all imo mate.They got a puppy and plummers ain't thick on the ground so when a litter comes up they soon go,but if i were looking at a pup myself then yeah names on the ped do mean a whole lot as i'd want a pup from a line of known hard working terriers and not some bigged up non worked shite that some punt out and the folk i'd get a pup from do graft them or else i wouldn't be at their door..

He had russell's already and used a beagle that was ment to have done some work,the bull (what the feck is a fighting dog ffs?) was added for jaw strength and bone,further russell and Nuttal's blood was added to sort of even out the size issues.Comparing them against other types is a bit suss but iv'e not seen any other type come close to them working in a pack or at the ratting game.My old bitch is the best ratting dog i have ver seen although she's past it now but she just had a nack of finding them when other types didn't and the way she'd mark them and catch them she was always ahead of ot

He's 26 years old now and is doing well in life thanks,i just knew where you were coming from and from the nurses to the surgeon i hold them all in the highest respect i can give.Iv'e met some real hard men but the only real one i respected taught me humbleness,respect and just not to be a cnut and he did that by friendship and not by beating it into me..
