  1. Some days are like that .Hopefully your bad day is done and dusted for 2007 .Nice pics .
  2. Found an old pic of one of my vermin lines when I was a keeper.Gives a sense of pride to pass it daily.Another thing that has bowed to pressure that will never return as it was .We were paid assorted rates for different species, pence really but it was an incentive none the less ,not that I needed one . Apologies for the quality .
  3. Polecat is the dominant gene mate .It depends on whether the parents were true breeding or not as to what mix ends up in the litter. Bunny boy-Has any of your theory been put into practice or are you guessing as to a ferrets genetical make up .All I know ,through practice and advice ,is that to create a silver ,one parent has to be originally from true breeding polecats which says to me that the blue prints are the same .The addition of BEW is a short cut to silver but the offspring of these 2 silvers put together will not be true breeding silvers and can throw anything .Its a long time sin
  4. The new crop has a 13 month turn around ,thats the draw back ,but like everything else in this world ,its worth waiting for . Any body noticed the fox ,back row, which I forgot to mention we dug that morning too . Thats where youll get a munty ,foxy .
  5. If it dont die a natural mate ,consider it yours . :welcomeani:
  6. Nice one mate .Out of interest ,that pond we looked at is now mine for the measly sum of a bottle of whiskey .Well done .
  7. Never right but I think Im right in saying that bloke has a daily show on the U.S hunting channel ?.
  8. If you lived closer Molly ,you could join us ,although its not outside of impossible for you to join foxhunter in his next journey south ?.
  9. It would probably die a death because those on it would be the same ones that are on here 24-7 and hunting stories would run out because nobody is out hunting ,just talking .There are enough distractions as it is .Get out there .
  10. That is seriously the ugliest dog I've seen ,no matter what the breeding .Bet the owner looks the same lol .
  11. Strangly enough we never got so much as a thank you from the previous owner, despite us saving them thousands on poison .That aside ,it didnt matter and hopefully those days will return .
  12. To get away from this childish bickering a minute ,it is VERY unlikely that a lurcher of any breed will have its parentage questioned unless it is involved in a vicious attack on SOMEONE, not something .
  13. The dogs were split in 2 teams mate ,morning and afternoon .What you see in the pics were only a few of those we had out .Cant beat it .
  14. Love reading about digs in other countries .Good read and good pics .
  15. These pics are from previous ratting days on a farm that was sold last year .It was split into 5 lots and I now have it all back ,thanks to the new owners .The photos are pics of pics so appoligies for flash back . Our best was 610 .The least we had was 178. The organic sheds are now full with chickens again and the hedges nearby already showing signs of rat ,nice.
  16. It may not be a colour issue now but if they erent allowed here to start with ,we wouldnt have none of this now .Hate them all then you can be certain of getting the right one !.
  17. I sell mine ,cant be doing with the taste .
  18. I find myself agreeing with you mate ,spot on .Our forefathers will be turning in their graves .f****d up good and proper by scared polititions .Our local twat refuses to answer letters on immimgration sent to him . CANT THEY SEE WHATS HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY ,OUR ONCE WHITE AND PROUD LAND . Do not buy f**k all ,speak or look at the c@nts .They know they are not wanted .f**k OFF .
  19. All mustelids pursue quarry underground mate and kill there too .Once heard a squealing whilst out with the dogs from a bury along a river side that I was trapping mink.Sure enough a mink emerged but was driven in again by the terriers .Heeled in the holes and went home for a couple of cages .Opened up either end of the bury and dug 2 cages in ,one on each exit .No bait.Continued the walk and had the blood stained mink on my return .Curiosity was the lure this time and worked a treat.Otters will also hunt under ground ,all are opportunists .Bolted several stoats and weasels down our way with t
  20. Some of these terrier owners want spaying mind lol.
  21. Do you mean to say I've broken the law Surely not
  22. i personally dont give a fxxxk about hunt work most ive encountered are arrogant and ignorant and seem to think they own the countryside and all its foxes!! Christ ,if captain fuckup heard you say that around our way you'd be nailed to the pub door .LOL. Some time ago ,a tenant farmer who was fed up with a fox killing his chickens up and shot the bugger one morning .The hunt found out and the farmer had a sign put on his farm gate saying "this man shot a fox ".He was shunned in the pub for quite a long time after . Do know what you mean though mate .Some hunts are very welcoming and of
  23. Facts-The tenant farmer only has the right to shoot, control, pests ,vermin on leased land.He can authorise or appoint someone else to do this duty but it must be made known to the landowner . The sporting rights however ,are not his unless agreed or paid for . Problems arise when a dispute over what is a pest occurs as in your situation .The farmer regards them as a pest but the landowner may regard them as revenue ?Best to see the landowner first mate .Good luck .
  24. I love to watch a lurcher run anything but I like to see a fox coming in to a squeak and run by a good fox killer .Always feels like I'm doing good too and gets me browny points with landowners
