  1. Did any one click on the CARTED DEER HUNT <IRISH STYLE.Feck me ,I'm pro hunt but cant justify that bollocks .
  2. Nice strong dog there .Only critisism is the coat .I had a bitch similar and while she was a1 at the work ,she suffered the cold when wet and was the devil to clean after a dirty dig .Good luck with the work anyhow .
  3. By the look of it I'd say you have the real deal there mate.Where you from?.
  4. Ditch-The pic is of an old photo mate ,no up to date scanners in this house mores the pity ,otherwise I'd flood every topic nearly .lol.
  5. Used to be a good spot for a tunnel trap underneath the line especially for the now protected hedgehog.Used to be a line 50yds or so long ,along the main drive into the estate! A keeper had to be seen to do his job .
  6. I wouldnt give you tuppence for any of them .Toyota hilux for me every time .
  7. Bless him,he's obviously not right in the head .Torrets[spelling]they call it ,swearing like that .I was quite offended ,little prick.I could seriously dislike him up close .
  8. Judging by the bird sound and foliage ,thats got to be Australia?Hell of a lot more foxes than we have . I've called in day light and as said before its tricky because they see movement so well .If your still ,they will come right up ,providing the wind is right and thats where most calling comes unstuck .An animal responds to a call but soon works up wind to determine what it is and to pin-point it if its edible .One way to combat this I've found is to take along a recently dead rabbit and open it up down wind of you but where it can be seen .Works sometimes but not always .
  9. As long as you are not in a row of terraces mate ,Im sure the law is on your side if you shoot it and have tried all other reasonable methods of prevention ?.
  10. Some days are like that .Hopefully your bad day is done and dusted for 2007 .Nice pics .
  11. Found an old pic of one of my vermin lines when I was a keeper.Gives a sense of pride to pass it daily.Another thing that has bowed to pressure that will never return as it was .We were paid assorted rates for different species, pence really but it was an incentive none the less ,not that I needed one . Apologies for the quality .
  12. Polecat is the dominant gene mate .It depends on whether the parents were true breeding or not as to what mix ends up in the litter. Bunny boy-Has any of your theory been put into practice or are you guessing as to a ferrets genetical make up .All I know ,through practice and advice ,is that to create a silver ,one parent has to be originally from true breeding polecats which says to me that the blue prints are the same .The addition of BEW is a short cut to silver but the offspring of these 2 silvers put together will not be true breeding silvers and can throw anything .Its a long time sin
  13. The new crop has a 13 month turn around ,thats the draw back ,but like everything else in this world ,its worth waiting for . Any body noticed the fox ,back row, which I forgot to mention we dug that morning too . Thats where youll get a munty ,foxy .
  14. If it dont die a natural mate ,consider it yours . :welcomeani:
  15. Nice one mate .Out of interest ,that pond we looked at is now mine for the measly sum of a bottle of whiskey .Well done .
  16. Never right but I think Im right in saying that bloke has a daily show on the U.S hunting channel ?.
  17. If you lived closer Molly ,you could join us ,although its not outside of impossible for you to join foxhunter in his next journey south ?.
  18. It would probably die a death because those on it would be the same ones that are on here 24-7 and hunting stories would run out because nobody is out hunting ,just talking .There are enough distractions as it is .Get out there .
  19. That is seriously the ugliest dog I've seen ,no matter what the breeding .Bet the owner looks the same lol .
  20. Strangly enough we never got so much as a thank you from the previous owner, despite us saving them thousands on poison .That aside ,it didnt matter and hopefully those days will return .
  21. To get away from this childish bickering a minute ,it is VERY unlikely that a lurcher of any breed will have its parentage questioned unless it is involved in a vicious attack on SOMEONE, not something .
  22. The dogs were split in 2 teams mate ,morning and afternoon .What you see in the pics were only a few of those we had out .Cant beat it .
  23. Love reading about digs in other countries .Good read and good pics .
  24. These pics are from previous ratting days on a farm that was sold last year .It was split into 5 lots and I now have it all back ,thanks to the new owners .The photos are pics of pics so appoligies for flash back . Our best was 610 .The least we had was 178. The organic sheds are now full with chickens again and the hedges nearby already showing signs of rat ,nice.
  25. It may not be a colour issue now but if they erent allowed here to start with ,we wouldnt have none of this now .Hate them all then you can be certain of getting the right one !.
