Yep just mix jar of cheap English mustard and cheap honey together and keep basting I put a sprinkle of ground clove on too.

I bought pigs in blankets, and stuffing and gravy lol. But got a bit of prepping done ...

So the prep begins...peeling and cutting veg, gonna get hams boiling then do them on the smoker, probably make stuffing balls , cauliflower cheese and a leeks in sauce , and then tomorrow is turkey crown wrapped in bacon on the smoker.

We didn't see many hares mate he might have had 4 runs or something. My first lurcher , I made loads of cockups but he was a jacker although he excelled with rabbiting, marked really well . I miss his speed a little but absolutely nothing else, but anyway that dog put me off anything with collie or Hancock for life. I'm smitten with my Wheaton bull lurcher bitch , I'd have a pup from her but she's 8 and never had a litter and I can't do working dogs justice anyway. Been a pleasure to own such a lovely family dog and loads of prey drive,

Had a Hancock, I'd say a fast type 3/4 grey, got staightlined by a hare in the lamp, think he thought it was a bunny it just pulled away until it was gone he turned around after 100m lol. Only ever caught one just out of its seat . While abroad the hares straight lined both my dogs most times we were out. One was a cockerpatt mind .

I enjoy Christmas with the kids being young and excited. I'm an atheist, missus said she was off to church to see kids singing etc, I didn't realise that their school was church of England. What a relief religious or no our culture is heavily based on Christianity. Praise the lord....lol
