    Super rats

Super rats were a thing in Berkshire when I was a kid, it was thought to be an immunity to warfarin, at 10yr old I was shooting them with 410 and airgun , large grey lumbering buggers....with that camera angle he's gotta be a fisherman lol...
  3. Nice one I've ordered jigs and crayfish also added a load of shads to get free postage, super cont are only on Ali for ref lol. Thanks again , so much choice it's mind boggling....
  4. Well had my first go with jig heads , few hours this evening, started off on a stretch of canal but muddy as hell and loads of drifting weed so quickly moved to a stretch about a mile down , nice dark coloured water, hit a few snags , then got a take came off and I thought it had straightened the hook but it pulled out broken I had two broken hooks today with the mini fox jig heads tried another as it was getting dark , got a hit a jack pike of about 3/4 pound, deployed my new quick net and line went slack and it came off, anyway slowly got the hang of it, I was mostly doing a sharp half a tur
  5. Interesting, not sure how that works with this....
  6. I'm sorting out fishing gear ATM, one of my old man's along with old hardy centre pins and numerous other bits and pieces...
  7. I've ordered some lures off Dan , looks to know his stuff, and apparently weighted better for slower drop etc than mainstream jig heads. Time will tell....cheers
  8. Yep I had to change my braid knots last night after I pulled through a knot I had been doing.
  9. Have you used that tiable trace wire he uses?
  10. I've seen nearly all, I enjoy them, he does a lot of spotting with the polarised glasses. He's good obviously, but he's big on action and video as opposed to instruction I feel
  11. Yeah I get that, and the fact they don't have to be worked along the bottom the whole time and the weedless options...
  12. I've been enjoying a few series including these.. https://youtu.be/opH1RMDKJFg?feature=shared https://youtu.be/ELTtZdB9kfQ?feature=shared https://youtu.be/_6ioiaX1goE?feature=shared

  14. Had another go dropshotting, think I'm gonna move on to jig heads next , I'm new to lures so each method is a learning curve but I've dropshotted last half a dozen times....
  15. Another hour on canal dropshotting ,.one small perch...
  16. Well a lot of products are produced for multinational corporations and their brands. I'm not saying this is negative, as it provides tax revenue and employment, including some of mine. But that's a Hella lot of milk/cows and a lot of grain etc....
  17. 4 hours dropshotting, a spikey perch lure got me a very small pike.
  18. I'm not sold, having some unity okay, meeting up with your mates to show off your new tractor hmm, Also I'm in Devon and outside of the national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor it seems most all land is owned by farmers and near me I see empty fields for what seems the majority of the year. I lived in Wales for a long time and when you see the barren hills and slag that even the few mangey sheep don't want to graze , I'd rather they replace a small amount of the total decimation of Welsh forests that were destroyed not for farming but for the industrial revolution, iron and coal and all tha
  19. Yep I got stuck behind that lot earlier, I still can't get my head around why they don't protest outside the buildings where politicians work, Welsh assembly or parliament. I work away long hours then have to sit behind fecking tractors for an hour.. Are these protests about the fact they won't get subsidies unless 10% of land is planted with trees?
