They got married, (so much for you saying the wedding was cancelled) !!! And you knew f**k all about the Bailifs turning up !! So much for your "insider knowledge !! LOL !! Cheers.
  2. Have you lot been watching Eastenders tonight !! LOL !! Cheers.
  3. Is your mate Australian ? Just I seem to remember this pic, or one very similar, on an Ozzie Site ! Cheers.
  4. That's one way of avoiding the police helicopter !! LOL !! Cheers.
  5. Funny enough I had the same and he was utter shite despite getting an absolute mountain of game put in front of him......2 and a bit years of my life, thousands in diesel and 1 L200 canopy all down the khazi !! i'll give you £20 for your canopy Not even funny fanny head, the canopy was my mates and he wouldn't take a penny off me for it.......I was f*****g gutted! It's no fun when you have to admit defeat with a dog so why take a f*****g chance I say. every dog no matter how well its bred is a chance. Bigfannydaddyshagger; your'e getting very philosophical in your
  6. What would a good dog do on wild board? This is a great example! Thanks take it by the ear an hold it, silently..... Well; some would, and they would be hard holders, usualy with a short life span ! LOL ! Others, just as good dogs for hunting pig, would bail the pig until it could be dispatched ! They usualy lived a wee bit longer ! LOL ! Cheers.
  7. I'd have though you would have a good input into a thread like this, Bill . Cheers.
  8. Yeah, Bob, it's a difficult one. If two litter brothers were both scratch dogs, but one was slightly faster than the other, of course I'd use the fastest one as a stud. But would the slower one throw just as good pups as the faster one ? I remember Red Baron and Warlord, ( Bilko x Young Lucy), litter brothers, both tremendous scratch dogs, but Red Baron was the fastest, and got the most bitches by far !! Would Warlords pups have been as good ? Hard to tell. Cheers.
  9. A Sire/Stud can't be "potential", if it is producing good woorkers. Surely it would then be "proven" ? Cheers.
  10. If the breeding is there what you want then I would say as much chance from both if I've read it right. What do you think? In answer to my own question, I think they would both have the same chance of throwing decent pups. Cheers.
  11. If you have two dogs from the same litter, one owned and worked hard, and the other owned and kept as a pet; which one will be the better Sire, or will they both throw the same ? Same with bitches; two from the same litter; one worked hard and bred from only after 4 or 5 seasons of graft; and one kept purely as a brood bitch. Which will throw the best pups, or will they throw the same ? Cheers.
  12. If you are using them with a 12v lamp, you need to wire them in series, and it will give you 10 amp/hour. If you are using them with a 6v lamp, you'll have to wire them in parrallel, and will get 20 amp/hour. Cheers.
  13. Yes you can use and charge them together, but depending how you wire them you will either get 5 amp, 12 volt; or 20amp, 6 volt output Cheers.
  14. Floyd; first you said they were ON THEIR WAY TO THE PERMISSION, then you later say they had LAMPING EQUIPMENT AND DEAD RABBITS IN THE CAR !! So where did they get the rabbits ? As usual, we are only getting half the story ! Cheers.
  15. I had a Non-Ped in '74 called Ziggy, (Darley Fly X Susan), in Newcastle. Decent scratch dog and took his fair share of hares. Was shot by a keeper while coursing at Hartley. Cheers.
  16. Did you get over to Carisbrook, Stabs ? I couldn't make it this year, but hope to be there next year. Cheers.
  17. Steve; if we don't "summer hunt", and don't hunt when theres a "moon", don't run on a frost, and only wait for the perfect night...... when do we take our dogs out ??? Cheers.
  18. Beating and picking up at a shoot in Northumberland two year ago; Cheers.
  19. So we've had no summer, massive floods and no real autumn ! Frost is here in October........ What the hell happened to "Global Warming" ??? Cheers.
  20. Saw frost on a bit of ground in Northumberland this morning !! To answer your question; yes I would, and have in the past... but it's up to the owner where they run their dogs ! Cheers.
  21. Get them removed when a pup is 2 to 3 days old, and it's easy and painless, and cheap !! Leave it and it gets very expensive ! I've dogs with and without dew claws, and , to me, it doesn;t make any difference ! Cheers.
  22. There are some Salukis that simply DON'T put weight on ! It's just the way the breed is. In thier native enviroment they don't get the feed that we give them here. The bedu will feed pups on camel/goat milk and dates, as that is usualy all that's available. I remember a vet in Saudi telling me he'd be worried if he saw a FAT Saluki ! LOL ! As long as the pup is well fed and wormed regularly, and shows no signs of illness, it should be OK ! Cheers.
  23. There allways was, (and still is), plenty of crosses, types, without Saluki in them, that could take hares. Thing was, these dogs were used as "allrounders", whereas the Saluki Hybrids were, MAINLY, bred for the specific purpose of hare coursing. If coursing is your main or only work, then get a well bred Saluki type. If you want more of an "allrounder", then there are other types that are more suitable, but still more than capable of taking hares regularly. By the way. not every Saluki type turns out to be a great hare dog; just like other crosses, there is plenty that don't make the grade; b
  24. Just take my word for it, or don't, either way, I'm not going to elaborate Cheers.
  25. Where do you get you timeline from, SHH ?? I can ASSURE you there were Bull X's around here at least 10 year before that, ( yes, APBT x Greyhound). Cheers. they werent in the country til 80s though, md and er bought the first ones over i thought I was offered a Bull cross in '72, my brother had a pure bred bitch and my mate had at least 3 pure bred dogs in the early 70's. Cheers.
