    Jones was on Andrew Neil's show and accused Neil of being far right......Neil tore him to pieces, looked like Jones was going to cry. Julia Hartley Brewer laughed in Jones face when he accused her of being homophobic and Jones had a hissy fit and stormed off the stage. Jones and Alistair Campbell are, in my mind, two of the most detestable people in politics, and there are some VERY detestable people in politics ! Cheers.

    I'm for capital punishment, but there was very good arguments against it years ago with wrongful convictions seeing innocent people hung. But these days with the huge advances in forensics and DNA profiling the same mistakes shouldn't, but possibly could, happen ! In cases like the Wests, the Moors murderers, Neilson , etc where there is absolutely no doubt of guilt, they should be hung, in my opinion. The murderer of the old lad on his mobility scooter and the shithouse that shot this child certainly, again, in my opinion, should hang. Cheers.

    The email from the woman Group Captain to the woman Vice Air Marshal refusing to carry out an illegal order HAS been released. It was on the news this morning, and as I said, it's pretty damning, states quite clearly that she was ordered to push women and ethnic minority's onto courses ahead of better qualified white males.     The email from the woman officer to her superior is pretty damning, she says she refused to carry out an illegal order or direct her team to carry it out. The order was to actively push female and ethnic minority's onto courses ahead of better qualified white males. Someone is lying and covering up. The Armed Forces Minister must know who issued the directive, the Vice Admiral, a woman, must also know who issued the order to the woman Group Captain who resigned, but of course no one will accept responsibility and no one will be held accountable, as usual.     The weasel words coming out of the RAF command are incredulous! They've said " we didn't stop processing white males, that would be illegal.....we stopped ALL processing until we could find a legal way to process more women and ethnic minority's " Whats the difference ?     Being an open forum means we can't post any hunting bar rabbits now. I've used up all the overseas hunting pictures I have and haven't any new ones. The "other" forum, where we could post most anything we like has been ruined by one man who has achieved his aim because the admin buried their heads in the sand and allowed him to do it. This site is basically just a chat room now. Some laughs, some nonsense, sometimes even a decent thread, but it's not a hunting site anymore, sadly Cheers.

    As Churchill said " democracy isn't perfect, but it's the least worst of all the others". Much the same for our justice system, it's not great, but it's better than the alternatives. I was once in a debate asking what could replace democracy. I said a benevolent dictatorship, like Solomon, but the problem there is that dictators don't stay benevolent once they gain power. Richard Littlejohns statement " power corrupts....and absolute power absolutely corrupts" is the perfect description for our politicians, judges and police, sadly. Cheers.

    Stoning was before my time. I was in Riyadh in '78 and was shown a taped off area in a downtown car park where a woman had been stoned to death some years before. Evidently a jcb dug a hole and she was put in it, then a tipper truck tipped a load of hardcore on her, then it was tarmaced over. I never heard of any stonings after that.     I was done around 50 years ago for "trespass in pursuit of game or coney " One of the three magistrates was the land owner of the land I'd been accused of poaching on ! As soon as I entered the court, he leant over and asked the clerk of the court what the maximum sentence was !! A couple of minutes later I was guilty and £30 lighter in my pocket ! ? ! Cheers.
