Isn't it strange that no one has mentioned the £15 billion+ that we give in overseas aid ? We are now going to borrow around £150 billion to subsidise the power companies but we are still giving aid to the likes of India which, by the way, has just overtaken the U.K. In the biggest economies table......... I agree ? I doubt many will complain about a Fillipina nurse, an Indian doctor, a Japanese scientist or an Australian engineer coming here to do a job where they are needed. But the thousands that are coming over with no skills, illegally, are neither needed or wanted. They are a drain on the economy and a danger to the community. Theres something seriously wrong when we can't stop them or deport them. Cheers.

Well, here's my take on it , and it's purely conjecture ? I think the object in question could be "the star in the east" being obscured by a cloud, judging by what appears to be rays emanating from it. It could be the artist signaling his disbelieve or doubt in the divinity of Christ. A lot of renaissance art has hidden meanings. The man with the dog looking up at the object could be one of the shepherds that often appear in madonna and child paintings, possibly also appearing doubtful as he is ignoring the main characters. It used to be the open show, then the cock of the north, and the winner of the open show went into the cock of the north. I did that with Delta one year, but now it's the cock of the north first then the open show for some reason. And the classes have changed, now it's up to 23" and over 23". I think the lurcher show changed after Ron Hodgson stopped running it. I know he upset some of the "professional " showers and judges. Cheers.

I bought two sets of Russian gen 2 NV off a Chechen for around £50 for the pair. My late daughter was engaged to the Marine Gunny sergeant at the American Consulate in Saudi and he spent a lat of time at my house and said the NV I had were superior to the kit they were issued. Im sure the American gear has outstripped the Russian stuff now. I rememember going to the states one time, and I thought I'd packed my video camera, but I'd taken the Russian NV by mistake. I dread to think of the questioning I would have had if the yank Customs had found them ! ? ! Cheers.

I bought that in the old suq in Jeddah. They had loads of those ones your on about, I should have got a few. I used to go to the Haj Terminal at Jeddah airport, my pass allowed full access, the Chechens, Dhagastanis, etc also has the "war rugs" and prayer mats for sale, but I was more interested in buying the n.v. and spotting scopes and binoculars. I've only been to three local hunt shows this year and the winners, and majority of entrants, appeared to be of whippet size and appearance. Nothing wrong with that of course, but is smaller types becoming a trend ? Cheer.

It's also to do with worldwide tv distribution rights. They know they will get the bigger audiences, more merchandising and more advertising money if it's Chelsea, Liverpoool and the two Manchester teams playing in the European games that if it were West Ham, Everton, Newcastle and Leeds. Its allways to do with the money. Cheers.
