My non-ped whippets of the 60's and 70's were as well fed and conditioned as any running dog I've had since. I think the improvement has more to do with selective breeding than improved nutrition.........but, as allways, that's just my opinion ? Cheers.

Just out of interest, can any of the military lads explain why the honour guards carried their weapons pointing backwards ? I remember Kennedy's funeral, and his horse was in the funeral procession, with Kennedy's boots in the stirrups, pointing backwards. Cheers.

My daughter in law is Saudi, her late husband, ( my son), was British. Her son, ( my grandson), is british. I had an informal meeting with an immigration lawyer to tentatively explore the possibility of her getting British citizenship and passport. I think the Polish lad may not be telling the full story, unless he is also a British passport holder. My wife's cousin is here and trying to get residency for his wife who has a Cypriot/EU passport. My grandson is seven, and has just passed the entrance exam and interview for The World Academy in the Middle East, an American/English curriculum school, he started yesterday. I can guarantee that if some teacher tried normalising things like this, They would very soon find themselves kneeling down, hands tied behind their back, looking at the sandled feet of a very large bloke about to wield a very sharp sword . I've a niece who is a far left Corbyn acolyte, permanently outraged , forever raging about Thatcher, Boris, etc. Anyhow, one day she said to her parents, "I'm bringing a friend for dinner this Sunday, who is gender fluid, I'll let you know what pronoun to use just before we get here". It makes no difference. Do you think "hey, the queen has died, so it will take £10 out your wages or benefits " or " hey Charles is king now and it will put a penny on your taxes" ? Of course not. The pomp and ceremony, the soldiers marching and bands playing is all factored in. The soldiers, politicians , officials all get paid wether the queen dies or not. All the cannons firing, bands marching etc is already accounted for. Just let us bury our queen, wether you like it or not, it's the end of an era, And as as I've said many times...I'm not a royalist. ?
