    Well, I’ve got the same model 700mm .22, the reg pressure was only about 65 bar when I bought it. I’m running it at 95 bar at the moment. I turned the hammer tension up with an Allen key and it was up from about 32 ft lbs on max setting to 43 ft lbs on max setting. I’ve backed it off a bit at the moment and on the adjustment wheel its running low 25 ft lb to max 40 ft lb with jsb 18.1.

    Nice fella. I’ve been trying the h&n slugs and they seem good, and a lot cheaper than the fx slugs. What reg pressure are you running at?

    It was the same old problem, one shot with the shotgun and they moved to another area. After exhausting all other non lethal methods I decided on a different approach. The quietness of the air rifle proved to be more successful with 14 down (I think) and 9 picked. Furthest 88 yards lasered.

    Are they the fiocchi golden Pheasant 32 gram Mark? I use them myself, a good cartridge?

    Only the odd ones and twos for me lately. I’ve had quite a few last couple of months but they’re dwindling at the moment. I’ve got a large broad leaf wood to shoot, with a lot of beech trees but I haven’t been up there yet this year. The beech trees are usually abound with the blighters, but in the tops of those tall trees they can be sporting to say the least.

    Many autos probably won’t cycle subsonics, but my A400 Xtreme has cycled everything I’ve ever put through it, including 24gram two inch cartridges. My 20 gauge beretta auto however, struggles to cycle anything less than 25 grams?. It will cycle 28 gram eley hi-flyer fibre 20 gauge, which are subsonic.Odd maybe, but that’s the way it is..... I’ll have a look out for some subsonic 12 gauge cartridges, and if I can source any locally I’ll try them in the A400 to find out.
