In the review section, if you search “hatstand puffer” I did a short review on the hatsan.

Have you considered the gamo’s or hatsan’s ? A friend of mine has a hatsan at44-10 and for the money I was impressed.

Good result bn? I used to enjoy clearing ferals but haven’t done much since the nineties.

Today, I only tried the 18 grain jsb pellets at 75 yards. I tried the jsb 25.3 grain slugs at 40ft lbs and at 90 yards they were accurate but three mill dots drop from 50 yard zero. A touch heavy maybe? I went out last week one evening with h&n 21 grain slugs and missed the first two rabbits over the top as I overcompensated. The third wasn’t so lucky as I’d got my act together. Less than two mill dots at 112 yards, popped its eyes out.

Just tried some h&n ftt’s, bisley superfield, bisley magnum, jsb 16grn, jsb 18grn, jsb slug 25grn and h&n slug 21grn all at 50 yards with a left to right breeze. Set at power 3 (around 33ft lbs). First two were sh1t, all over the place. Biz mags about 1/2 inch all the jsb’s on top of each other, as well as the h&n slugs. Out to 75 yards with the jsb 18 grain and bang on at one mill dot?

Using hollowpoint subs, maybe, but with decent club or match ammo?. Having said that, I can hit a bottle top at 100 yards with eley subsonic hollow.

Yep, mine has the 700mm stx barrel in .22 and seems to work equally as well with both pellets and slugs. In fact it’s absolutely pinpoint accurate with both and I’ve got to say that I’m very pleased with it?

I don’t blame you Phil. Although I’ve got good results with h&n slugs and jsb slugs in .22, I’ll still be using pellets mostly as I have no need or desire to chase .22 rimfire performance with fac air. That’s not why I got it.

Yes, strangely I like to hear the cackle of a magpie, and even though they are one of my least favourite birds, Britain wouldn’t be the same without the bandits in my opinion.?

They have, they advertise that they will last a lifetime and put a ten year expiry date on them. I don’t get that ?

Yep, Maggies don’t hurt ya, had a couple of slight nips from crows. Never handled a raven.
