    Ok, if you measure the drop at comb and heel and including the gel pad I’ll see how it compares with my sbs’ ?

    The piston is moving smoothly in the cylinder now, I’m going to try this spring and guide set up and see how it goes. Unfortunately there’s no space for a synthetic piston sleeve as the spring is too snug in the piston. It rotates freely when it’s not under compression with just a bit or room for compressed expansion. I’ve cleaned the inside of the cylinder and the piston, spring and guides, washers etc just need lubing and they can go in.

    Centre fire calibres in bolt action, straight pull, lever action formats yes. .22 LR and .22 Mag in any action except full auto yes.

    The problem with those o/u’s is....they’ve got their barrels on the wrong way round? ?sorry.....

    Yerr, same here, shot loads before Christmas, not many about now. Although I’ve got a large broadleaf wood that I haven’t been to for about six months and when I had a look I saw a few. I’ve had a lot out of there in past years. There’s a lot of beech trees that they can’t quite resist ? Due to lock down last year they’ve been pretty much left alone for over a year. Probably worth a visit ?

    Well, it’s on. A bit of a Heath Robinson contraption but it fits snugly into the already inletted stock. Now I can move on to the internals. Some cleaning and polishing to get it running nice and smooth.

    After being busy with other things since I started this project, I had a bit of spare time this afternoon. Having failed to remove the snapped off stud from the cylinder I decided to cut and tap M6x1 some 10mm bar which will need to be welded to the cylinder to take the front stock screw.

    Yerr, gave him the Lamborghini, the hedge cutter hydraulics kept catching on the rear spoiler and all the hawthorn bits dropped on my head. I knew I’d regret getting the roofless version.?

    Yes, I’ve got another idea for the front fixings, but I don’t know if I’m going to get on it before the weekend. One way or another it’ll get done and should be shooting nicely when it’s finished ??

    I’m not a hi tech sort of person, and this thing is way too complicated for my liking. Also, I wouldn’t spend that on an airgun anyway, but each to their own. God knows where you’d start if it went wrong, or sprung a leak in the future? Big repair bills probably??
