  1. True enough, the bloke who never made a mistake never made anything. ?
  2. I like it, it looks like it’s got some character ??
  3. Referees don’t have to sign anything now, the applicant just needs to put the referee’s details on the form. Personally, I wouldn’t be a referee for anyone that I didn’t genuinely regard as suitable. I don’t want guns in the wrong hands any more than the police do.
  4. Yerr, it looks a bit vague at the moment Phil, what they actually want the doctor to do or send to them? I think the form that Notts do is straight forward and concise.
  5. Yerr, it’s just a tick box form for the doctors. My doctor did mine and phoned two days later to say it was ready to collect. Charged £15 but no hassle so it was worth it to me. I sent it off with the rest of the forms and they phoned me about three weeks later. Did it all over the phone and my tickets came through the post last week, my existing tickets run out middle of July, so that‘s good service I reckon. Got another slot and increase on ammo like I requested so I’m happy?
  6. The squirrels have just started to show again here. Had a few on the feeders before Christmas, but not seen many since. Now had three since last week though.
  7. Hopefully not Phil. My last variation last year only took just over a week. Got it back before they cashed the cheque. In fact, got my renewed tickets back last week, two months before the old ones expire. All done on phone, great service ??
  8. Thanks hily, think I’ll pick some up fella??
  9. That’s interesting, the ones I had were the very first ones as they were promotional. They were in a different box as well. I might pick a couple of boxes up then, give them another try. I haven’t bought any cci subsonic hp’s for many years either, or even thought about them until I saw stavross was using them, and I thought I might get some of those as well. I used to use them quite a lot but moved off them for some reason that I can’t remember? ??
  10. I’m down to 60 subsonic hp’s so time to go shopping. I was given a box of 50 promotional free sample of the cci segmented when they first came out. I don’t recall being over impressed by their accuracy but it must have been ten years ago so I’m not too sure. Anyone had any of these recently as I might pick some up, if so, what’s your opinion? These are the ones I’m considering. Thanks...??
  11. That last part of your report reminded me of that 300 yard fox off the door mirror that someone posted a few years ago on another forum, I don’t know if you recall Mark? Still, at least you got one, so a fair result , well done..??
  12. Hells teeth?.....what a bleddy let down, and at that speed they’re only nudging 9ft lbs. Too much drag in the barrel maybe? Could be more suited to fx barrels perhaps. They seem to work for Jimmy. I was hopeful for these. Bugger................? Anyway, thanks for the report vm??
  13. Apparently the cylinder is now the same diameter as the original hw cylinder. Whether or not this was the problem, I don’t know, but I’ll try to look into it. I just thought that this idea might be a simple way to a higher shot count?
  14. Yes, the jsb heavy are probably the best I’ve tried in my hw100, and I’ve tried a good few. The exact 8.4’s are good, but the heavies have the edge on them at range. The 13 grain monsters and 16 grain beasts weren’t so good though. In fact, the 16 grain were all over the place at any distance.
  15. Well, the .22 knockouts are good in my impact, and a fair price. I really hope they work well in the hw100, could be a bit of a game changer at longer range in a 12ft lb .177?
  16. Buy her a new pair of shoes..........then tell her??
  17. Who makes these 10 grain .177 slugs vm?
  18. Fair bit of wallop then??
  19. Yerr, looks like a .25 slug that works well vm. What weight and speed are they running in your rifle?
  20. It would look something like this but a bit longer...
  21. I’ve been looking at the Fenton titanium cylinders. My idea is to fit one of these, the “rifle” length version, to my hw100k. This will take it past the muzzle and I have a slim but very efficient moderator that will sit above it, making the cylinder and barrel/moderator around the same length. This will increase my shot count without increasing the overall length of the gun and moderator. What I would like to know is, has anyone on here had any experience of these cylinders, and also, anyone fitted a longer cylinder to the carbine model and if so, was the conversion successful or is my idea f
  22. Nice one vm, I’m really interested in these. Hopefully they will be good?. Looking forward to your report fella??
