  1. Those jsb heavy are absolutely spot on in my hw100. Pellet on pellet at 40 yards, pretty much bang on at 50 yards as well. They’re heavier but don’t seem to drop any more as distance increases than the 8.4 jsb’s.
  2. Nice Phil, I’m still waiting for them to do the 110 in green synthetic ??
  3. Yes, they can’t resist peanuts?
  4. Hope you’re right regarding the lead shot Ian. As for .410 days, that’s great. I’ve still got a little .410 sbs ??
  5. So you’ve actually got to run out before you can buy another 500 brick?
  6. I fancy a 612 or 620 myself, the only thing stopping me is that I can’t justify it. I already have two semi autos, one 12 one 20, and two pumpers one 12 one 20, so why would I need another? ? .........hmm?
  7. HW100 is probably one of the best. Well designed, well made and very accurate.
  8. They’re good value for decent quality .22’s. I haven’t bought any of those cci subs for years and I don’t know why. I found them to be quite good. Might pick some up when I’ve used my eley’s up.
  9. Just a thought, are you sure fourten is the best option? I’ve had the fourten and twenty. The twenty is far more capable and versatile. Also, if you can’t use lead in future, other than tss, what would you use in a fourten hushpower? Steel needs speed and more open chokes, neither of which fit very well with a fourten hushpower. The ported barrel drops the speed down and the range with steel shot from a fourten hushpower would then be poor to say the least. Also, the choke would need to be opened up. Just food for thought, hope you don’t mind, but having had both, the fourten has now gone beca
  10. I’ve had my 391 for probably 8 or 9 years. Can’t fault it. Mines 20g. I also have an A400 xtreme, can’t fault that either. I think the beretta autos take some beating. I don’t know if that’s any help to you though Ben??
  11. 500 brick will probably work out cheaper, but as you say, they keep creeping up. Doesn’t seem long since most of them were about four quid a box. I picked some Aguila .22’s up for £2:95 a box last year. Also I came across Remington cyclones at £2:25 a box but declined as I expected them to be crap. Thinking back I should’ve given them a bash at that price.?
  12. I borrowed a pard 007 and couldn’t get on with it, I like to be able to hold my rifle properly. Each to their own, my pal likes it so that’s what matters to him. Everybody’s different ??
  13. That’s why I prefer a dedicated night set up. Although some of the new day and night sights look good if you’ve got deep enough pockets, but there lies the rub?
  14. That looks interesting, what’s the power output on these in the USA wolfie? As you may know, they’re restricted to 6ft lbs in Britain, which is a joke, as a catapult has easily more power than that.
  15. I’ve got an old 1322 medalist that doesn’t hold air. I’ll look into these seal kits?
  16. So long as it’s 24 inches overall length minimum you’re ok up to 12ft lb. doesn’t matter about barrel length until you go over 12ft lb, then it’s 12 inch minimum barrel and 24 inch minimum overall length.
  17. Well, after struggling with some two piece adapters I’ve got a one piece rail to mount the Yukon. I decided to fit it to a different rifle. Not ideal today, as it was a bit too sunny to be ideal. However, with the lens cover on I managed a fair group at fifty yards. Moved back to seventy yards and it was difficult to be precise due to low magnification and brightness. Despite this, the eley‘s we’re grouping around an inch at seventy yards. Pictures at fifty and seventy. Thanks again to smithie for your generosity ?
  18. Yerr, they need respect as they bite back savagely, once you get up to around 400cc plus in two stroke it’s a massive grin factor time when you learn them ?? pure mechanical evil that seem like they’re trying their best to kill you?
  19. Are the niteshites not too good then vm?? Most add ons are too far back for me, can’t get on with ‘em. Grandma used to say I’d got a long neck, so maybe it’s that? ? I prefer a dedicated night time set up but that means another gun. Oh well?
  20. Maybe not, but I bet he knows number 69 on the menu. Set meal for two? Sorry......?
  21. The only off roader I have now is a 270 beta rev3. The crossers are long gone. Had a 440 Maico as well. Proper beasts. Still got a few old two stroke road bikes though?.A lad who used to off road on an old DT175 begged a go on my Maico. He wound the throttle on over a small hill where he was used to nailing his DT. The Maico took off like a surface to air missile and landed in a tree. He landed on the ground, bruised and embarrassed. It took us about ten minutes to push it out through the branches and it fell the last few feet. No damage to the old bruiser though. I kicked it up and pissed off
