    I’ve got three sections of an a-tec cmm-4 rimfire mod on my impact and it’s really quiet at 40ft lbs, this makes it quite a short but effective mod. The wildcat panther won’t quite fit over the fx shroud unfortunately.

    I have both and wouldn’t want to part with either. To me, rapid has more character and hw100 is more refined. Both very accurate ??

    I’ve used the 16 grain and they were good, run back to back with 18’s it was obvious how much harder the 18’s were hitting though. Regarding the rs, what speed have you tried them at and we’re they accurate? I know they’re only 13.something grain but I was interested in how they might perform. I understand what you’re say about .177 though?

    Yerr, the 18 grain are brilliant. I use them in my impact most of the time. They seem to dump their energy pretty well, I’ve shot woodpigeons with no exit. I usually run them at around 35ft lbs although I know they work at 40.? Have you tried .22 RS at fac levels? I was thinking about trying some at around 850fps/22 ish ft lbs to see how they perform. Might be good for shooting squirrels on feeders?

    Yerr, stuff ‘em. Couldn’t agree more about France. As for Scotland, my Mrs is half Scottish and half of my in-laws are Scottish. They all live in England now, and she thinks the same as well????

    This awful thread should have been left behind nine years ago. It makes me cringe when people quote how little energy is required to kill a rabbit. It’s just not ethical in my opinion. Live quarry deserves better?........

    Yerr, they’ve crept up. Seems like a lot of rimfire ammo is out of stock as well?.....

    Well, I picked some up so it will be interesting to see how they perform. I got some of the standard cci hp subs as well as I haven’t used them for years. Not a bad price £11:99/100. The Segmented were £8:99/50 though, so quite a difference. Some of the airgun slugs are a similar price though.....

    I’ve got the same scope on mine, the only scope that’s ever been on it.

    .177 hw100 can’t be bettered at 12ft lbs imo.
