All mine are insured. Its a hefty whack every month but worth it, at least two of them wouldnt be the same dogs if they werent insured. It has paid out £1000's in repair bills over the years, there would have been no way I could have afforded to pay that kind of money at short notice.

Whats the best way to mount a LED lenser P14?
Tyla replied to Tyla's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Tegater - thank you very much for that, very helpful and much appreiciated Iksopener - I'll get back to you, I ordered one off ebay but not a proper lenser one. I'll see if it fits first. Cheers -
Brought out the best of the THL retards this has. Cage full of rats, leaving it running, selling it on? No wonder the rest of the world thinks we're all wankers. If its not your dog why worry? I have a bitch here who was coming good but wrecked herself at 2 before she really got going, to anyone else she'd be a cull but she has a place here forever. Too many pricks out there treating dogs like pokemon cards, boils my piss.

The diameter of the torch body is 33mm, will the P7 mount fit it? -
Whats the best way to mount a LED lenser P14?
Tyla replied to Tyla's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
I dont know, it just listed the model it'll fit and didnt mention the P14. I just assumed it wouldnt. Its quite alot bigger than the P7, I will measure the diameter later and post it, if it seems to you like it'll fit i'll buy one. It does seem strange that they dont do one when they do for all the others -
Whats the best way to mount a LED lenser P14?
Tyla replied to Tyla's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Cheers lads, I have seen the lenser mounts but in the list of models it fits it doesnt mention the P14, they all seem to be for the P7 or equivalent. The only mounts I've seen specifically for the P14 are in New Zealand? Either that of I'm just not looking in the right places Any chance of a link? -
I'd like to scope mount the above but cant find a mount to do so, is there one available? If not has anyone got any ideas?

I dont think they are rats, pretty sure the russet coloured ones are wood mice

I think alot is down to the owner and how wide their interest is in hunting. If all you want to do is one specialised form ie; coursing or lamping foxes when legal, and have no interest in anything else then it would be hard to keep a dog that wouldnt perform. On the other hand if you do a bit of everything and all quarry by lamp, ferrets, bushing, shooting etc, then its possible to tailor your sport to suit your dogs strengths and work round their weaknesses. I fall into the second catergory and would sooner do what the dog is good at and enjoy working it than persevere with trying to make th

Sometimes you lads make me laugh. Anything different and you mount right up on your high horses. Look at the reality of the situation, its a quarter grown piglet not an adult boar, head shot and quite clearly went straight down, theres no ground disturbance, little blood, all the signs of a clean kill to me. If you had shot an animal of that size from 40 yards with a .308 you'd have to scrape it up with a shovel. It would be nice to see a few more foreign airgun hunters posting on here but its hardly likely with the reception they get.

I am looking to buy a .243 from a gentleman in Suffolk. I would like to test fire it before buying but the seller is selling because he has lost his permission. Firstly where do i stand legally and secondly is there anyone who could help me out? There are several members on here who would vouch for me if required. Thanks in advance if anyone can be of assistance.

There are lots of idiots with funny ideas about. I was once asked about my bitch "Have you broken her ribs yet?" I replied "no" and was then told that she'd never catch a rabbit because lurchers have to have their ribs broken to turn properly Ignore the fuckwits and go as slow as you need to, theres plenty of time.

Be extremely careful, my old bitch had a very similar injury and once it was healed I bandaged over the scar, let her run and it burst open again. Took months to heal after that and wasted the best part of a season. I would leave it as long as possible before letting her off lead, if she really needs to burn off energy then get the bike out, Good luck

Lovely place, I'll have to pay you a visit this summer. I need some polishing on my casting though

Im in favour of locators. I never had one when i started out as a kid and got by fine, lots of waiting, lost rabbits etc though. As soon as i could i bought one and now wouldnt put a ferret down without a collar, its got nothing to do with fieldcraft etc just respect for my stock and quarry. I dont want to loose ferrets and i'd rather not leave dead or damaged rabbits behind. I know I could get by without because i did in the past but why would anyone want to?

i dont think the caveman gave a flying f.. were the dogs came from origionally or the egyptians as long as they filled the pot he was happy ......wonder if they had bull x,s or beddy whippets ,, then ?or did they just drop out of the sky? I don't pretend to have all the answers but I'm just amazed that no one seems to question the official line. Mad I might be but if the rest of the population are 'sane' that's ok with me! Google is a 'for profit' corporation. When you google something, the first sites offered to you are sponsored ie someone is PAYING so that you read them first! FACT

Im not getting involved in the conspiracy theory argument but I think you havent thought this part of your arguemnent through. You are talking of current times when all people have other responsibilites, work, homes, school etc. In the times in question, lets just call it pre history to avoid pedants, none of that existed. People would have been living as hunter gatherers with their dogs presumably as one of their main survival tools. They would have had a much higher priority than they do today even with the most dedicated dogman. As such the importance of ensuring best only bred with bes

This is my wifes jrtxwhippet, 21tts. He's a good dog, never yapped, ferrets, lamps, bushes etc. Hes half blind in one eye now which is a pity but still does the job

Its your pup so its up to you but i wouldnt.

Thats when a good marking dog comes into its own, i cant imagine ferreting without a dog now but did so for years!

Blackstaff, his boy and myself took a trip to one of my further permissions yesterday. I went over to Blackstaffs the night before so we could make an early start in the morning, this plan was nearly scuppered by too much dog chat and a bottle of vino making it a big of a later night than planned! Blackstaff was dedicated though and was up as planned at 5 with the kettle on! We were on the road by just after six with three dogs, three boxes of ferrets and the boy asleep in the back. It was -8 according to the truck and got snowier and snowier as we headed to the ground. Once we got the
