    I'd like something bigger than what I've got and she stands at 23 tts ,I like the Wheaton x greyhound but I don't see it putting height into the mix .I like the look of deerhound grey x collie greyhound and put over my bedy grey I think should get a good animal and capable of doing anything .

    We used to make 5/6 different brands with different %on bag but all came out same hoper and only thing different was the size or shape of the biscuit. Ferret kibble they nick name it chick blood but they to tight to put docs in it, just fish oil and same biscuit your dog eats but different size . It's just bone meal and oil that comes from slaughter house's and maize . I'd rather feed scraps that feed it

    They make a well known gun dog feed along with a well known collie women's kibble ,amount of times I see rats sinking into oil vats and bits of cats going along the belt because they fell asleep in machine and machine op didn't check before turning on in morning ,place was filthy and when top customers come in to check how it made they was given a set tour so they didn't see the he'll hole for what it was .

    No experience with this x but me uncul had a deerhound greyhound x bedy greyhound and made a good worker and joy to have around the family .he run dogs for over sixty Year and still says a deerhound grey x bedy grey be his choice if he could do it again but like anything you got put time in as you no .

    We all feed differently and as long as they do OK on what we feed that's all that matters,

    I don't buy much from raw dog feed shop just the tripe ,most comes from butchers or a pal got small holding so trust what I'm feeding ,I boil rabbits ,hare and never buy that cheap stuff as it don't look right so wouldn't feed my lot on it

    When I fed kibble and raw I always fed separate like you but you can feed a well balanced raw diet without kibble .

    Gilbey it was something I was told but I have no worries as I only feed raw and my 3 do well on it , After working for a well known working dog feed company for ten years and seeing what goes into it and conditions its made in it put me off feeding kibble full stop .lot of different names on the bags and % of this and that but in truth the only difference in % is the oil they put in , no I stick with raw .

    I was told never to mix raw and kibble in same bowl as digesting time lot different? My lot do well on raw so no need for it

    I've always given my 3 fatty mince 3 times a week and me brother used to mix beef dripping on feed for his runners when he had them .I forgot all about the dripping lol ?

    I feed raw and my 3 do well on it and just feed more or less depending on what they doing but I did used to mix dry in with it but stop doing it as they no need and raw and kible have different digesting times so I stick with the raw but for easy feeding or several dogs kible be easier.

    Your a lucky man ,one of me best mate moved over to Canada around 20 Yr ago and he loves it ,he lived in a city while kids was young then moved into a cabin up next to a lake ,few mates been over and loved it ,I was going but covid put a stop to it but I plan on going next Year in fall if all is well . Great photos

    I got a call from my mum at weekend asking me to move a fox for her so I thought the vixen had gone back to where she had a litter under me mums shed in spring ,when I got there the poor sod was dead and a bag of bones and mangey, it couldn't have been getting much to eat and looks to have starved to death ,they not many rabbits about local and this must have a knock on affect for predators .I no they got to be controlled but hate to see anything in such a state .me mum wouldn't go near him as it upset her so I baged it up and buried him across the fields .

    I used to be able get by with 3/4 hours sleep a night but not anymore. If I don't sleep I become a cnut to live with. I'm hoping to start working for myself again and I'll have more time for the dogs but as long as they ticking over and getting few runs they happy .

    Great pics ,loved going out with me uncul and grandad, used to moan sometimes when it was cold but looking back they the best of times and wish I'd done it more .

    I'd like to take a litter out me bedy grey to a collie type to keep a pup myself but like you say times are changing so my head tells me tink be my last runner and to get her done .I can not remember a time when one or more of me family had lurchers .

    I used to work for myself and as long as I was working 3 days a week I was happy and I'd be out with lurchers ,ferrets on days off during the season and my children all grown up or least supposed to be ? so no young kids to look after but me misses got sick and couldn't work so I had to give up working for myself and now work five days a week so resorted to working dogs at weekends and odd night lamping for now .

    Your old terrier very lucky that it wasn't a cottonmouth ,copperhead are venomous and pack a punch as you no but no where near a hit like cottonmouth ,me mate used to train with a false water cobra "rear fanged " and not anufe venom to kill a human but he got bit few times and said it was like being hit over and over with claw hammer.id be wanting a full suit if I was over there never mind chaps ? Do you travel to different states at times to hunt and is it just terriers you work .

    Rick do coons mix it with the terrier or just bolt and have you ever had a dog bitten by a snake "venomous " your a brave man walking around swamps full of cottonmouths and do you get snapper turtles and gaters in your area?

    Nice looking pup mate ,the misses calls me crazy all the time got to be bit mad to be in this game .
