    I think the first mk1 was £20 or £40 when they first came out ,I've got a feeling it was £,20 though. I get that was long time ago but £200 for mk1 is robbery and a step back from mk3 They no folk going to pay these prices as a locator essential bit of kit ,not that ever stop me and many others going out without out one and I've never lost a ferret to ground ,had some long waits but that's way it was and yes they make life easier but they also change the way some folk ferret especially new comers to the sport , Mooch

    Does he make his own nets and other kit ? I bet he got others knitting nets and making ferret boxes and just sells them on nothing wrong with that of course as that's business and nets I've had from him have been quality so no complaints.

    My local gun shop had 3 sets in and he said he'd had them nearly 2 Yr sitting on shelf and in space of a week he sold the lot .

    Shit cnuts , I don't like sending any one money as they to many cnuts about just looking to have hard working folk over ,I remember asking a lad to make me 200 purse nets in batches of 25 ,any how I got first couple batches but then he try telling me money didn't land in his account "anyhow after calling bank and making sure money was sent I told him your trying take me for a cnut and he just said what you going to do about it lol , anyway once I said who me relatives are and they lived on a yard a stone throw away from his house he came to his senses and sent me fifty nets I'd payed fo

    I no lads that used to go out in teams and hammer places and to them a keeper fair game if they turned up ,but these lads was all about ££££ notes and nothing left behind to rot ,like been said these are not poachers but fools .

    You going jail if you get collard with a xbow or machete and don't see why any dog man would go out with one to run a dog ,let's face it we not in walking dead just yet lol some folk do get upset when there perm is getting hammered ,maybe they not doing the right way but only way to stop it is get out and sort it or leave land owner to it .

    I'm just at new house doing some DIY and then out for few hours see what's about ,had a quick walk about earlier on but didn't see many signs of rabbits but hopefully dog get few runs ,some great woodland and forestry blocks just few minutes from me door so looking forward to early morning mooch

    I always find if you go about your business quietly and don't draw attention to yourself you normally OK and if someone turns up then be respectful and like you say we all have a common interest and if they get bit larey just just bite your lip and take a talking to , as long as I walk away with me dog that's all that matters . To be honest I've lamped and ferreted lots of places with no perm over the yrs and never once as it come to blows when someone turned up and few times I've got perm out of it .

    Whippets make good ratters ,you not see many whippets work if you think they lacking courage as they will give most stuff ago given the chance but rats and coney they excel at .

    If that dog was left because it got to hot then the cnut don't deserve a juckel and if it was lost on land I'd be out all night looking and have it on fb and searching for it . Hope all turns out OK for the dog .

    Bolting rabbits to a dog hard to beat ,I was out Saturday for few hours and bolted two to the youngster who took them both and I dug to one so I was happy but I'm doing a spot at weekend that looks to be holding a few . Atb mooch
