    I always take a pup ferreting first ,some like to go lamping but I ferret then lamp and forget dropping rabbits bud as you got catch one to do that and it's wrong ,bolting rabbits soon brings a juckel on and some of the best fun you can have and if you need a ferret and few nets give me a pm and I gift them to you Atb Mooch

    I've never had to drop a coney for any of me juckels in nearly 40 Yr of keeping them and I think it's wrong and cruel and not the way of a true field man or any type of dog man ,yes they folk should do it to sharpen dogs up but it learns them nothing apart from its easy and in truth no day time rabbit is easy unless ferrets are pushing to nets or mixy as it .

    Sad times bud but you got great memories ? The misses got a bitsa type here that goes everywhere with me and great little worker and I'd say only fault is she don't stand at 22/23 tts but I've had 7 yrs of fun with her and without her we wouldn't have taken anywhere near amount of stuff we have ,

    All the antibiotics and drugs they put into animals to make them grow bigger and quicker and feeding stuff they never would eat naturally is so wrong .

    I think your right as I don't remember one of our juckels dying young unless in accident or when parvo hit "and that wiped full litters out and very sad to witness and still remember the smell from the pups ", me poor mum sat for days trying to keep a litter of terriers alive but one by one they went ,and only one survived out of 9 pups "but any how other than that all our dogs lived to good old age with no visits to the vet but now dogs getting all kinds of problems you never had yrs ago and it might have something to do with how we feed today . They wasn't so many dogs bred that had hip,eye

    I used to ferret "poach " on estate grounds for years and few times I see estate workers and they never said a word they must have thought I had perm as I'd be blatant about it and one day keepers drove up a track I ferreting near and he stopped and I thinking he's going to say pack up and off but all he said was stay away from me birds and deer you OK, worked it for 25 Yr until new keeper took over after old one retired

    Folk over think dog feed today ,when I was a kid me mother didn't have 30 pound to feed us 7 kids never mind spend it on a juckel ,you visit any raw shop and they folk in there buying deer legs at 8 pound a shot and all kinds of rubbish the dogs don't need like rabbit ears for f sake,,I feed what I can afford and they do well on it and eat everything I put down for them ,I hear so many times she's fussy lol it will eat if its hungry

    Electric fences ,double hedge with drop on one side and barberd wire every where in area I work .dogs just get used to it as they brought up with it .

    I remember me unculs just feeding scraps and few bones and rabbit ,hare heads and make what they called a mash and all done well on it and move on 40 Yr and folk spending fortune but dogs don't look no better for it

    Yes they make autarky ,csj ,chudly and greyhound racer and many more over priced names . When I was a machine op we would have several brands to bag and some had different % on bag but I can tell you it all came out same hopper but made into different shape ,they no meat in any of it ,just bone meal and oils like fish ,tripe ,beef ,chicken ,turkey etc depending on what we was running and mixed with the different grains and then into a machine that mixed it up and made into the biscuits and it would go into large ovens once the kibble made to kill any bacteria " and then into smaller hop

    This place makes horse feed as well and supply the Royal stables along with all the top racing stables and they didn't test any of the feed until one of the queen's horses won gold Cup I think and was tested and came back as opiots in its blood because the feed had poppy seeds in it so she wasn't to happy ? they have a lab and test horse feed for all kinds but only thing tested in dog feed is for contamination. As for inspections they have a set walk for any visitor's that want to see how it's being made and they only shown what they want them to see, When I was there they had bag

    Charts what size do you think they made as bottom one looks about 22/23 They both look crackers ,it's always the way mate ,I've been offered runners before that I'd be more than happy to own but had 3 already . Atb
