Sounds like the lurcher just wants to play as my youngster does it to me old whippet type ,she will play bite and run around him trying get him to run and play and once both running around it's like they playing catch .

If I see a litter I liked I wouldn't be put of by price as like you say once face to face with breeder you could still walk away with pup you wanted at price keeps both sides happy ,and your right they few on here taking litters and selling for coin but post pups on face mug or fee adds . Ray I used to think 150 /250 was about right for a juckel but you try and find a well bred litter for that price ? I think you find it hard unless someone you no as a litter or maybe someone is finding it hard to move pups on . Folk keep saying in the 80s they payed 150 ? ,me mam bought a yard

I really don't see dog prices going back to how they was 3 or 5 Yr ago , I got my bedy grey first x for 150 and lad gave me 30 back for good luck 3 Yr ago and that's how it should be but last two Yr I see bedy whippets go for anything upto 2 grand and same with whippets ,gun dogs .it don't really matter the type you looking for breeders are coining it in with no thought of the dog just Bank balance and if fools pay these high prices they not going to drop any time soon ,they might still be few who breed to keep a pup and just want good homes for rest of the litter and ask Little money but they

I was just saying to the misses this is me favourite time of Yr, my season starts this weekend as I've been asked to ferret a few horse paddocks ,I would rather lamp it but they have asked for it to be done in the day so pugs will get a weekend of graft ,I was there last weekend cutting it all down and it looks to be holding a few . I used to keep reptiles and started to rescue a few ,some came in with bad burns and manuka honey cleared them up along with aloe Vera and it worked better than any vet creams . Me dogs love the stuff ,put it on and soon licked off if it's in a place they can get at.

Me misses hangs herbs baskets along side of the kennel, and also have herb planters near ferret cages ,seems to help keep flys down and also the smell , I put a bit of apple cider vinegar in ferret water bowls and it seems to keep fleas and ticks at bay and also put a bit in dog food .

Skinny spray for fleas ,just apple cider vinager and herbs. Does the trick , Honey for cuts and kennel cough .

Lots of herbs that beneficial to us and our dogs , my local vet started to tell customers what herbs to use for all kinds of illness for dogs , Sometimes we over use pharmacy made drugs

Like been said the boots are rubbish but for cheap knock about hunting ,ferreting clothing it's not that bad I got jack pyke bottoms that's lasted 3 seasons of lamping ,ferreting and general mooching about and still OK Ridgeline also not that expensive

When I was a kid me mum was given a terrier pup who's mam had died when pups was 4/5 week old and I remember me mother taking care of her and even put her in a wicca shopping basket with blanket and take pup with her when she went out .it was all fun to us kids but looking back I no it was hard work for me mother but the pup grew to be like me mums shadow and lived to age of 16 . Taking care of a pup can be a challenge but one under five weeks is hard work so well done bud and I wish you and your pup many seasons together. Atb Mooch

I used to see foxes about on local land but I not see one in months .I believe its down to shooters being out with night vision and thermal and wanting to shoot any fox they see .

Same as ,the old gypsy people new the area they travelled like back of the hand and how to harvest it and they definitely wasn't no hobby hunters like most on these forums ,they poached to feed large family's and not for fun as a blank night meant hungry chavies .

Whats wrong with gypsy's and poachers ,most old traveling men I new as a kid forgot more about taking game than most on here learn in a life time .

The women I spoke to said you can make some good stuff with simple kit ,she used to use a big old pressure cooker and convert it easy .she's going to write it all down for me as I'd like to give it a go . I enjoyed working on the still ,it's a lovely bit of kit and we got a taster before we left .

Got told it was around ten grand for one in pic but that's just a baby compared to other 4 they got ,the Eastern Europeans seem to be in to making there own spirits ,women who works the stills said she made it at home for yrs and sounded bit like you see in romania and said she'd help me if I wanted to set one up ,knowing me I blow me shed up ?

Anyone one made a still ? I was working on one last week and was wondering if folk on here have try making one . I was working on this last week and started thinking it be good to have a small one going and the polish women who does the mixing said she used to use a small pot in the garden shed yrs ago in Poland and made some great recipes ,good to here from anyone who's given it a go .
