a lot of the beddywhippets advertised look dubious to me. I have had a few and know you get variation in colours and coats, but some of them look like other stuff in there.
anywhere between 1500 and 2 grand seems to be the regular price at moment. wether they get it is debatable. KC whippets are around the same price. I look regularly as will be having a pup in the next year but have virtually decided to breed my own.
I would say the ground plays a big part. I average around 15 miles a day at work, then a couple of hours with little dog. After all these years on the back of a bin lorry the old knees are taking a hammering. never been above 11 and half stone.
good point there must be a reason. only other popular ones around here were whippet x bull. I don't mean pit, i mean the older type of Stafford. both first cross and three quarter. a lot swore by them.
my type of walking. I always have catty with me. he sounds like he's going to be a versatile dog?. mine has had 11 woodies so far, but a little dog bred as she is you would expect that.
have had quite a few over the years both generation bred and genuine first cross. my experience has been first cross seem to be more stubborn but a better nose. prefered generation bred temperament.
look good strong healthy pups?. I have always favoured a rough coat believing it more weatherproof. then a chap pointed out a good thick smooth coat is better. he didn't mean like a whippet he said like the smooth collie coat. I think he had a point.
