  2. Haha, how did you know I was talking about her indoors, have you met her ?
  3. Think it’s time to turn mine off when I’m out, it never stops and 9 times out of 10 it’s something pointless
  4. With it been the first evening in a week we haven’t had rain, I thought I’d have a walk around the shoot, so off me and the long one went, as I’ve said before at this time of year there’s very few places to get a shot off, firstly we headed to the spud field and gave it 45 mins or so with the caller, to no avail, so we had a walk over to apart of the shoot known as the piggeries, now this is a narrow ride that over the years I’ve shot quite a few foxes on and where I shot the cub a few weeks ago, I put the caller on the ride but not calling, giving it time to settle down, after 15 minutes or s
  5. That’s how I would interpret it, if it’s just fields of stubble there’s nothing to protect, there’s nothing in that license that states you can shoot them because you know they will be a problem in future, that’s how I read it at least
  6. After speaking to a couple of people today, it would seem that decoying pigeon on stubble is a no go as this could be considered sporting shooting, but with the turn around in crops, a couple of weeks after combine they are putting the winter drilling’s in, these new licenses are for crop, wildlife and public health and not for sporting shooting which was also illegal on the old GL, luckily we are all a lot better informed now ?
  7. Mmmm, pigeon ?, send your tofu into spring watch as a conciliation prize for that fu*k wit who’s name will no longer be spoken ?
  8. Have a read of them on defra’s site mate, for crop protection they look spot on, you should still try the usual farming methods, bangers etc but as you will know these only work for a short time ?
  9. Well I haven’t read them word for word because I’m running a bit late this morning but they do seem to cover everything I do and are very well worded compared to the rubbish natural England released, I haven’t read specifically about decoying pigeon but this may be covered under the trapping legislation, one thing I did see is you can now eat what you shoot ( wood pigeon) but you can’t sell it, so at the minute it’s looking good, but I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve read them fully and before I call for Michael coke head gove to be knighted
  10. So does it work like the ruger 10/22 only without the mag and holds more rounds, I’ve always wanted a semi auto.22
  11. A quick question, I no nothing about the marlin, someone told me that you load them like a semi auto shotgun and they take about 20 rounds into a tube, is this true and do you have to reload after every shot or is it semi auto
  12. I wonder if I could tell them I only eat the stubble so I’m protecting my dinner
  13. Haha, no mate that’s when the new licenses are released so you can have a read through them ?
  14. It’s looking like gl36, just need to give it a good read through after midnight ?
  15. what I want to see in the license is been able to shoot wood pigeon over stubble, I would consider this preventative shooting because we know the problem is coming so why wait until it arrives, I just hope the license is clear and not to be interpreted in many different ways as this is what started this mess
  16. Keep an eye on that, the crows will be on that in no time, they love laid milky barley
  17. Hopefully these will be watertight and stuff it up wild justice, I will be waiting up to read these, it looks like they are going to cover protection of wild birds, I’m interested to see how they are worded
  18. It’s never stopped here again today and it’s still raining now, bet you could do with that drying up, you don’t need to be up to your eyes in sheep’s feet this time of year ?
  19. I’ve helped out once before with someone clipping two pacas, never got spat on but when I had to wrestle it to the ground it kicked the sh*t out of me, they are strong little buggers, all the clipper lad did was stand there laughing at a fat lad getting a kicking from a leggie sheep, the nobhead
  20. Weather update for Stockton-on-Tees, still sh*t and stav’s getting cabin fever ?️
  21. Couple of good size hoppers there, there’s a lot about at the minute, fingers crossed for some good nights out after combining ?
  22. No foxy action but a couple of hoppers bbq so definitely a worthwhile outing ?
  23. Good mod, just a little bit expensive for a rimfire
