    That water feature was a nightmare, the builder who did the wall didn’t think that the pipe would have to go through the wall so made it 2 foot thick and back filled it, I had to dig out the back of the wall and put a core cutter through it, the plank ?

    I was once out with a lad a long time ago and he rested his rifle on the ground, covered in mud and sh*t, he washed it off in a stream and it was a Howa I’m surprised it never dissolved ?

    I use mine just for transport as I travel far and wide and the police don’t like seeing just laid on the back seat, once I get to where I’m going it’s out the motor or in the footwell, you’ll never see any mud on mine because I’m far to knackered to be laying on them, I’d never get back up ?

    Back up at the shoot at first light ( ish ) this morning, strimmed out a couple of feed areas as the birds are on the move, they are not taking masses of feed but they are enjoying the brambles and acorns, there seems to be fallow about in good numbers so with a bit of luck and if I can address my work/ shooting balance I’ll sort out an evening with FH for a look out after a buck ?

    My .243 travels in a nightmaster bag, well padded with a big accessory pocket on the side, cost about 100 quid, my rimmy’s travel in a Swiss arms bag, with two big square pockets and rucksack straps, no padding on this one but at about 20 quid off evilbay who cares, both are big enough to carry the rifles with all the kit on

    I know I don’t know you, but my heart is breaking for you and your family, it’s a terrible Illness that has affected my family and friends, after reading your posts and the way you speak about her one thing is for certain, you haven’t let her down in any way, the love you have shown her will of helped her through this terrible time

    Well I wasn’t expecting this, I went to a local spot with Hugo’s dad for a bit of bunny bashing with the little 22, I took the .243 with me as after we had shot a few rabbits I thought we’d have a call for half hour, put the caller out with rabbit distress, within 2 minutes a fox appeared from nowhere, 40 yards to our right, it winded us and made a run for it, to the bottom of the field, over a stream and into a ruff ploughed field, luckily it was crossing the plough and not walking down the ruts, when it got to the top of one of the ruts it stopped, Hugo’s dad was watching it through the the

    The short answer is, no, I’ve called far more with a cheap plastic mouth call, saying that they come into their own during mating because I just can’t make that noise ? I use icotec and the sound quality of the new one is superb but at £240 it not cheap, you can pick an older gc model up for under 100 quid now

    So, yesterday evening I got a call from my mate saying they were on with cutting the last of the wheat along the plantation on my secret perm, I arrived just as the combine and the last trailer of corn was coming off the field, pulling into the yard the old man was there, shortly joined by the two brothers and the grandson. After a bit of banter and the old man asking me to keep an eye out for the dog lads and do what I need to if they are on there ( whatever that means) I headed to the edge of some game cover, setting the caller out about 50 yards from the plantation it was a good 40 minutes

    Well I had to do that in 2 sittings, because people keep bothering me, but it was worth it ? I too have a very strong dislike of the equine idiots, it doesn’t help that I spend quite a bit of time working around them, the owner are sometimes not much better ?

    Lovely job, I really need some more stav time for the pigeons, or longshanx needs to get out and supply me with pigeon meat
