    Well I’ve cleaned and waxed my boots, charged the radio’s, sorted out hand sanitizer etc all read for Saturday rang the shoot secretary to gee him up about the guidelines and risk assessment, he said he’ll sent it out on Monday, I said it needs to be before the first day, he said, “ it will be, we shoot a week on Saturday not this Saturday “ ? nobhead, I thought it was this Saturday ?

    The lad was proper helpful, he rang me to say it’s been posted and will be my gun shop on Thursday, on another note, I’ve just got off the phone with a lad that was given my number as he’s got a problem fox, I didn’t let on that I knew who he was, because this lad has a lot of farm land not far from me, so I’ll be off up there this week to see if I can sort it quickly and maybe get an in, on the rest of his land ?

    Cheers for all your help, I’ve bought the blued one from Forest lodge guns, he did me a bit of a deal, what I saved from not buying the stainless one will pay for a mod ????

    Forrest lodge have a blued one in but no price, so they will be worth a ring as well ?

    I’m going to ring them tomorrow, I’ve searched the internet, I was looking for a blued one just because they are under a grand but can’t find one, I found one other stainless but that was 100 quid more, so that one from countryman will do just fine, it’s exactly the same as my .243 ?

    So the lad at the gun shop rang me and tikka have said 6 to 8 months for the rifle I want So I’ve now got the ball ache of a task of ringing all the shops to see if anyone has one on the shelf to get it RFD’d to my local shop

    Have any of you lot watched meat eater on Netflix, it’s a bit over the top American but it’s good to see how it’s done over there, bow hunting elk and shooting sika with front stuffers, the respect he has for his environment and the animals he hunts is superb ?

    Nice one, I love having a go at the geese, it’s probably the only shotgun shooting that I would turn down rifle shooting to do, that and maybe duck ?

    It crazy mate, we are in tier 2 in Stockton but the shoot is in tier 1, so at the minute I think I can travel there ( on my own ) to shoot but if they move me to tier 3 and the shoot stays at tier 1, I can’t travel to go shooting, but if I’m going to feed that’s different because I have a responsibility to look after them ?

    So I’ve just been to the gun shop, knowing what I wanted ( tikka t3x lite lefty adjustable ) the lad in the shop said he would ring on Monday but don’t hold your breath as they are struggling to get what he call special order rifles from them ( lefty ) he said if they haven’t got one it could be up to 8 months as the American market gets what they want before us ? blast you Trump and your right to bare arms ?
