This is his aunt. Someone else made a similar breeding to what I was debating and I didn't have to whelp or raise him lol.So he's three quarter black quarter white. All good ones behind him. I'd like to say once again Thanks to the one who made this happen. -

I was standing in a public restroom 4 hours from home taking a leak thinking about dieing from Corona over a terrier. Is there a support group like terriers anonymous? -

Slingshot for coons
Rickshaw swami replied to Rickshaw swami's topic in Catapult & Slingshot Hunting
Thanks very impressive.I will give one a try.Just what I was looking for. -
I have been reading up on slingshots.I would like to carry one with my terriers. When a coon bolts from a set he generally goes up the nearest big tree usually 50-60 feet up.I don't have the luxury of carrying a gun as I mostly hunt the swamps by myself and would destroy it.Do any of y'all have a recommendation for larger game such as coon fox etc?

I received a text yesterday from the only other person who has terriers from my original stud. They have a grandson of his who is one year old and a pain in their ass so they called and offered him to me.I quickly accepted as they have a fine line of working terriers. They are driving south 5 hours one way and I'm driving 5 hours north one way.No money will exchange hands even though they could have sold the terrier easily.I don't know many in the terriers in USA.But I know one of the best in my opinion. If more Americans conducted theirselves this way we might could produce a decent terrier in t -
Thanks that's my new favorite cover of a blues song and I have seen Allman Brothers in concert. Jack white has a unique ability to get the most out of a song in my opinion. He can cover any style. Told my wife to play this at my funeral. Also not everyones cup of tea.Just showing his ability.

Another legend.Pink Floyd named theirself in tribute to him.The doors covered this song.

I actually mostly listen to Leadbelly Robert Johnson sonhouse and similar but recordings are so bad I don't post them here.In my opinion they are the founding fathers of music everyone since then have been trying to replicate it. Read a biography on him in your spare time.

I agree and I don't like Nirvana lol. But something about the way he sings makes me wanna put a man's head in a driving wheel. Bill Monroe did a bluegrass version also in the 40s or 50s

Good idea DC.I may get UPS embroidered on my jacket. An old deer poacher that I ran with as a teenager bought a UPS van and would park on the side of road.Lift the hood like motor trouble and go poaching. He never was caught or questioned. He would also buy uniforms like the electric company wore. Most landowners assumed he was there checking on power lines lol.As the old saying goes "There's more than one way to skin a cat"
-
These songs were originally sung by Leadbelly around one hundred years ago.Long before rock was invented.

No wonder she had a wreck. From where I'm sitting in Dixie she was driving on the wrong side of the road.

I don't know if it would be feasible with shipping but American coon hunters wear these.Look up coonhunting supplies.I wear the hip waders. Most coonhound hunters wear the bibs and jacket. They are waterproof and briarproof.Built for dogmen running through the woods. If your jumping fences running from a landowner they will tear on barbwire or so I've been told ?

Most old farmers here drive flatbed pickup with a heeler hanging off the side. Not as common as it used to be.No trucks got stole back then lol. They are gritty dogs.Ive seen them kicked and stomped by half wild cows.I always thought they could produce a good lurcher but never tried.I did see a good looking one on this forum though.

If I had a dog for a companion/guard it would be a heeler.Seen a redbitch whoop my old man when I was around 5..Seen a bitch work hogs when she was old. When my father and his partner trained hunting mules to jump they would nail a board between two trees put a blanket over it.One man on other side of board pulling lead another man sneaks in behind mule and hits him on the asswith a board.Once a mule knows he can jump he will do it again. My fathers partner had a big mule and tied his hand to the lead.My father warned him but right as mule got in front of the board he hollered STEWIE!! which in

Thanks East coast I had never thought about the ears that way. There was a big name breeder in jags who moved from Eastern Europe to the country to the north of me.He drove 2 days south to hog hunt with us.He brought a certified dog in jags. When he arrived and seen my father's jags he immediately said my father should not have bred from his stud because the ears were too short. We took him hog hunting my dad's old stud run a hog for 2 hours until it crossed the river during this time the big name guys world famous jag was by his owners side. But his ears was of correct length. -

Thanks Mr. Apache I will let you know in 2 or 3 seasons if he works for me ?I have bred strictly for myself.Digging dogs in Dixie is as rare as elephant hunting dogs in England.I do have peddlers around me but no diggers.Dmason to the north A.Scott to the east.My current stud is producing those ears. His best second season son has donkey ears lol.By my estimate all of mine will be prick eared in 5-10 years.Honestly I feel I have had no input on the looks of my terriers.I bred the one s that could swim a creek stay till dug whoop a coon and chase an otter until bottled up.I didn't realize they w -

Young dog for this season. His parents grandparents and a great grandparent lol.He will be about 17 months old when I hit the swamps which is around the right age in my opinion.Roll on September! -
I think it does affect health.I have some bitches who are 8 and never came in heat.Smaller litter size.I also get one in every litter that is large and robust the picture of health.I have not seen any major health deffects but if you can't reproduce it limits what you can do for sure.I have bred my male to some half cousins hoping to be able to continue. When inbreeding heat cycles change first in my opinion from seeing it in a few breeds.

I have limited access to good terriers in my area so when I seen something I liked I just inbred from that point forward.Thats when I first seen extremely undershot terriers.Another generation of inbreeding and they were 50% undershot now its seemed to level out at 50-60%.Thats also when mine started throwing bat ears.I believe these are recessive traits that shine through inbreeding.2 reasons I inbred to this point 1-limited access to good terriers 2-small weedy terriers are needed for digging in Dixie. My hardest terrier is 13lbs bitch and an inch undershot but she can fit to an otter with ea
