  1. We all know he was a bit of a character, but to be honest I have learnt a lot more about him here, and he really was a character!
  2. Your question has been answered many times in this section...… take a look! Good luck!
  3. My apologies for not reading all this ……. The majority is Black on Black, certainly not exclusively, but disproportionally high. Immigration is good for the UK apparently!
  4. Looks good, but I never understand silver mounts on black scopes....just me no doubt!
  5. Have you got one? At that price it is probably worth a punt!
  6. Do many of you get the Chrono out all the time? My Combro works for me, it can be fiddly but seems to be quite accurate. So, for the limited use it get its fine for me!
  7. Mine gets used for my FAC with no issues!
  8. Its all about personal preference, if new Daystate or HW or Air Arms. If used seek out a Rapid 7.
  9. I think my Combro 625 is the best part of 20 years old. It can be fiddly to mount but once you get used to it works fine, if frustrating at times. More than happy with mine but I believe the newer versions have more facilities, still good value for money in the market place.
  10. No idea but it will almost certainly be something in the action rather than the bolt itself if adjustment is possible. A word with Riflecraft may help. I sent mine back to them a few years ago for the trigger recall business. They were Remington approved repairer at the time for the UK and I believe they still are. Knowledgeable lot whatever so they may be able to help.
  11. Yep, the bolt can open with safety on. I've actually just checked mine, there is no way the bolt will open, safety on or off, without a good tug. Once down it is pretty firm, and stays firm until almost fully open!
  12. The lass at 47 Acacia Ave, she's been looking iffy for years and must be about 100.

    Sorry, my response as well!
  15. FFS Did you write that yourself or go to an Advertising Agency? I live in Reading, Berkshire and want access to the hottest women in the country for the purpose of *******, I have a big **** and references!
  16. The Regulatory Reform (Deer) (England and Wales) Order 2007 (was it really that long ago...I remember it well) During the Final reading of the Bill when Roe was already included with 22 CF, for some reason, the RSPCA was asked what they thought, their response was... we are not sure if 22CF is adequate... apparently it didn't occur to anyone to ask the Scotts how they got on with it through real life experience. The result was, at the last minute Roe was left off .22CF. I specifically asked for my .223 to be conditioned for Roe in Scotland (it is, and anyone can ask the same). Th
  17. Whatever you have read the 700 ISN'T a very good rifle, it is the USA's biggest selling rifle and it is perfectly adequate, it's the Ford Mondeo of the rifle world, and does a very acceptable job, it if FAR from being a very good rifle, and the trigger is fine since the X-Mark Pro was introduced, matches the rifle, perfectly adequate without being exceptional!
  18. You must have a hotline...…. so who's next?
  19. Took his own life I hear now!
  20. Apparently they rate the .308 in Scotland for deer, which is a bit odd as my .223 is Roe conditioned for Scotland but not Roe legal in England/Wales. The .243 is a cracking round and very ALL deer capable, anyone who says different can't shoot! I have no axe to grind, I have a .308 and it gets used for target and Boar, only ever shot a handful of deer with it, simply not needed, even for Reds. I have never understood the attitude that seems to persist... he can't shoot very well, better give him a BIGGER calibre to counter his inadequacies.
