  1. Good forum to join to expand horizons, share experiences and learn!
  2. Whole thing seems/sounds odd!
  3. Land looks cracking! Help me out, what am I missing, doesn't seem 5 minutes ago people always shouted at anyone taking shots at 50 yards and said stick with 30-35 yards shots. My FAC Falcon at circa 26ft lb is zeroed at 40 and that distance works just fine for me. Have rifles or people improved or what, whichever way you look at it the further out you go the power is dropping, and starting with only 12ft lb that's noticeable! Even if you are zeroed at 50 and all your quarry is at 50 your margin for error is tiny! I'm not having a go here, I've noticed several people talking
  4. Which part of this is a surprise to anyone...from £140-£145, could have been a lot worse. Maybe is worse if your car is a bit older, but when was any Government Fair!?
  5. Rub it down and invest in a tin of spray paint if it worries you, but it shows a lived in/used quality! I keep cleaning my car and my lad always says...…"why, it's a 4x4 it's meant to be dirty!"
  6. Thank you for that, exactly my point and certainly NOT trying to cause U trouble.
  7. Nothing to do with Putanges but your post just reminded me of this!
  8. As I said earlier...more to come yet!
  9. ??????? I've not seen Underdog on a range!
  10. I think there is a fair bit of life in this thread yet!
  11. Yep....in principle that's a good Moderator, unless of course something has gone wrong with it!
  12. Sadly I'm busy that weekend...whenever it is!
  13. Shotguns are a whole world different to Air, especially PCP. Unfortunately they can become addictive...and expensive! Then its rifles, and targets and centrefire ammo at sometimes £2-£3 PER SHOT. Some of my club members can get through 80-100 centrefire rounds a session...that's why they tend to reload! Wait till the shotgun smacks you in the cheek a few times, very painful, and obvious to all! As we all say, gun fit and hold!
  14. I'm pretty sure its a Mk1 as well. It looks in excellent condition and if it performs as good as it looks there is no issue with it being a Mk1 or Mk11. Looks like a great find in Freeads!
  15. Yeah, my poor wording in agreement with you!
  16. You can't talk freely!!!!!!! Anyone who thinks ANY forum is immune from examination is naive in the extreme, if the powers that be want to find you then they most certainly can! I do not know Underdogs situation/licencing/etc but any talk of anything illegal on a public forum from anyone is best avoided. I am not suggesting he has done/posted anything illegal, I don't know.
  17. Something certainly seems a little unusual here!
  18. There is a National Firearms Database, should have been in existance from about 2000, but was around 5 years late and eventually emerged around 2005 (or was it 2007) from memory. Add to that all the pictures he has posted of himself, the number of people who call various members by their real names rather than their THL Username and it would take anyone with the means 5 minutes to find out who he is!
  19. I don't want to take this off topic, and I get why you want some Muntjac, but really you don't....they are a menace!
  20. You have some big Hares! The Muntjac is by far the most destructive deer in the country weight for weight, but in my view the tastiest!

I find it difficult to believe ANYONE could make such a pigs ear of leaving as TM has.
  22. They get a lot of flack, the B2 series, but they are simple and affordable guns that many started with. With a RRP of £59.95 for the traditional B2 who can complain. Good to see someone giving it a makeover!
  23. To be honest my .243 is primarily deer and the 90g SP works just fine for me. I have used the Hornady 58g V-Max and it is superb in mine, but better suited for fox, and I don't need to take many fox with my .243! Anyway, the .243 is not really a target round so its just a matter of what the OP actually wants to shoot with his! Nothing wrong with the Howa, so just a matter of matching ammo with barrel/quarry! As a few have mentioned, just try a few lighter rounds!
