    This is the best I've done at 100 with the HMR, put this up before, it was a while back now. Good day, right conditions, I would expect sub 1" without too much effort!

    There is more on the cutting room floor than you see, its edited to look like the producers/editor want it to look. Its a TV program, a docusoap if you like, its designed to sell as a program and get viewers...and getting people talking on forums etc about it is great news for the program makers!

    I have no doubt that Big Cats have escaped/been released over the years. Not so easy these days with tighter controls. Just the same, it would take a breeding pair as a minimum to make anything viable, which is harder still. Deceased bodies of all wildlife disappear VERY quickly in this country, but the lack of any credible evidence has always been an issue. Never say never, but the Vast majority of this is BS.

    That's about the size of it, probably best to experiment a bit on different water!

    A mod makes a noticeable, and several dB difference on a .22HV, as it does on centrefres, that's why people use them! It goes a long way to reducing the propellant bang, just leaving the sound barrier crack. I think we might have drifted off track a bit here. To the OP, as stated by Stavross, the RFD will write the ammo on your ticket, and no, you don't have to notify anyone when you buy ammo.

    As virtually everyone has said moisture trap is pretty important. Aldi/Lidl often do pretty useful deals, but I don't think this is one if you want it for a PCP.

    For what is worth the "trade" magazines quite rate them! That usually means they have decent margins and/or don't go wrong!

    It is true to say the HMR ammo has certainly had its issues, I have had well over 200 split cases at firing (probably a lot more I haven't noticed). One or two delayed ignition, probably less than 1/2 second but seems an eternity. Never a squib, YET, and never lost a shot/quarry from the issues. It isn't good, no argument, and there is a suggestion newer ammo has improved, just the same, my HMR is very important to me and staying put! Not experienced the issues in OP but have used Hornady V-Max Blue/Red almost exclusively for years now!

    Perhaps the Buy/sell/swap or classified sections would be best, either that or chuck everything Optilock away and invest in Sportsmatch at less than 1/4 the price! I have 2 Tikkas, one with Optilock and the latest Sportsmatch, never again will I buy Optilock, overpriced and flawed!

    They can have debates with vehicles and potentially other hunters. Failing that, it will be back, creatures of habit, especially where they know food is available.

    The Government and Parliament appear to be doing everything in their power to actually stop us leaving. This has been apparent for months but must be obvious to all now! An utter disgrace!
