My mate gobby says.. If they find an overpowered WORKING rifle and no pellets it is still overpower. With reasonable cause (and that will mean almost anything) the police can take away any air rifle and test it. A rifle that does NOT work cannot possibly be over 12ft lb!

Out last night up the dairy farm, actually it's sort of more of a rare breeds cow farm with small numbers of interesting looking things in different fields. Terrible night, after deer and Fox (they have a few chicken as well and Charlie is always everywhere I'm not). No sign of either untill late when we saw a Roe ...NEXT DOOR!!!, 2 rabbit all night between 2 of us and then the rains came.....headed back to the motor to find in one of the lanes between the fields a BULL, free and roaming!!! I wandered up to him bold as brass in the hope I could persuade him back over the fence he ha

Look ...first off.... ask why you want the tactical...what does it offer you want over any of the other lightning models...it's a 12ft lb (nearly) lump!!! If you have the skills/engineering equipment to cut a thread then by all means do it and spend money on another mod. Many 12ft lb air rifle mods are no more than toys and do very little, there is only so much you can do with a 12ft lb gun anyway, it is hardly ear splitting to start with!

It's always a friend isn't it...so.... if none of these had valves how could they test them and why did they take him to court and for what???

As many as you can get..pretty obvious really.......... my Falcon runs 26ft lb and I get 32 FULL power shots...not usually a problem BUT I would be very happy with more, less charging, less air to buy, less trips back to the motor to charge it and MORE shooting. Mr Theoben rules with shots per charge and all credit to him...why don't the others improve???

bloody hell Deker.......i thought that said stop FERETTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEAN Well...... stop that too if you like...more for me too shoot.....bits of knotted string and some half starved stinker of a polecat...call that sport?????????? :whistling: I'm sorry Deker, but that's just not cricket old chap! You seem to be in one of your cantankerous periods again, time of the month again, is it love! Go and shout at some kids for playing football outside your house or something! Think you missed the point M...look at the emoticons after the post....y

Had a Parker Hale many moons back but I have to say I think the SAK edges it. Rimmy ammo is filthy and to get the best out of your moderator you should clean it on a "regular" basis. However...it must be said, that probably, the main grief caused by dirty rimmy mods is crud falling back into the barrel rather than much reduction in sound suppression! Like all things shooting though...look after your tools and they will look after you!

Does look a big rabbit (unless the person carring it is only 2" tall) Had some decent sized ones in the last couple of days myself, but that is certainly unusual...the big uns seem to be few and far between these days, seen some "old" pictures and the rabbit ALL seem bigger than today...we just getting too good at stopping them before they get that size or is this some reflection on modern society??

Just to clarify things a little....... Mixxy was introduced into the UK nearly 60 years ago, since it's introduction not a single case has been found in man, fox or ANY other wildlife. We p**s around with nature all the time but remarkable as it may seem, Mixxy is a disease of the Rabbit...END OF! There are suggestions that mixxy infected rabbits are more tender...I have no desire to test the theory.... but be very confident YOU, YOUR CAT, DOG, FERRET ETC ETC WILL NOT CATCH MIXXY!!! Chill out, stop fretting and enjoy!!

pigeon meets 55 gr soft point from 223 messy !

Can't help thinking you have put a few too many feathers in the stew!!! -
There is not a simple answer here......the Weirauch range is excellent VFM but they are all heavy...typical German overengineering...if you are easy with carrying around a heavy gun then fine and yes, probably offer some of the best VFM you can get...but there are plenty of good guns, cheaper and lighter....what is the best is down to the individuals requirements and budget!

Power for power they are the same...as accurate...not a chance!

Fair comment... but anyone with even a small amount of experience knows domed perform best overall by a mile....good to have a little detail... BUT you forgot to mention this was lifted straight out of the latest edition of the BASC magazine!!!

They look a really nice mod. Im going to search them on a few sites and look for feedback. At the moment im swaying with the jet z. It looks good and works great. Its not brilliant for balance as its heavy and goes on the end as opposed to down the barrel, but i will be using a bipod so that should help. I might have this all a**e about face, but I thought the A-Tec hung off the end of the barrel too!!! Never seen or used one so someone else will no doubt straighten this out!

FAC for target shooting & vermin control??
Deker replied to HermanE's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
If you have a gun for Vermin work and NOT target work, then the likelyhood is you will have to zero on one of your permissions and not down a range. If you only have the rifle for vermin work and you have not listed Zeroing and (in the unlikely event you are caught by the police) you have commited a firearms offence. It might sound daft ... many of the firearms laws are...but it is still not a good idea to go round breaking them!!! In simple terms ZEROING shoud be on EVERY FAC for every gun they hold ..WHATEVER it's use! (excepting perhaps one or two specific slaughtering tools). -
FAC for target shooting & vermin control??
Deker replied to HermanE's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
You CANNOT Target shoot if you have the gun for Vermin control...and you CANNOT vermin control if you have the gun for target use. It does not matter how experienced you are at anything...you cannot do it until your FAC says you can! (and don't forget to add Zeroing for ALL guns as well!!!) Any doubt just talk to your FEO! -
Could be several things... Talk to...... the dealer you bought it from! Talk to..... http://falconowners.myfastforum.org/ Talk to... http://www.falcon-airguns.co.uk/frameset.htm

I've had 2 of the Falcon mods on my FN19. There is a joint just in front of the cone shaped area where the screws are, and this can easily split with any sort of knock, it's very hard to see at times as its covered with paint but if you gently try and move the mod whilst it is in the gun you can sometimes feel a tiny bit of movement...if this is the case the mod is scrap!!!! In addition, the 2 grub screws only thread into the alloy of the mod, overtightening these, especially the one at the back, can easily lead to stripping or spreading the thread and therefore cause big problems.

Trip out for anything and everything
Deker replied to Mr_Logic's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Good write up, but I don't remember signing the release so you could publish a picture of my hand...I'll see you for my appearance fee later!! .... that last pigeon...I forgot about him..the one that took off from the very tall grass just about 6 feet from me... whos head went one way, wing went another and body pebbledashed the rest of the field...12g No5 at 6 feet is quite effective, the old boy can still swing and shoot quick!!! Overkill I suspect..should have waited until he had flown off 40-50 feet!! -
NO..I'm too busy shooting things generally, but it's cold wet and windy here today and Mummy won't let me go out to play tonight!

In principle it is.....Except there is no need to SHOUT and it's TXT talk..or a product of the modern education system!
