  1. Had one in the mid 90's sold it about 2000. Can't remember if it was a Mk1 or what, but it did have a lot of brass on it, but it was single shot and pellet loading was fiddly, liked accupels and yes it was good! Mine was 12 to start with then pushed it up to 30ft lb. Very accurate and easy to fix when things fell off it....only sold it to get a magazine and single bolt action cocking and loading!
  2. Do the usual checks...make sure everything is bolted on tight, take the mod off, check the crown, may need a clean but they don't normally get that dirty, etc!! Probably something simple!!
  3. Had nothing but Beretta Shotguns for about 9 years now so I'm a fan, but just the same, most will agree these are great tools, enjoy!!! Just got in from a night shoot using a relation...Tikka T3!!
  4. Looks great...may have to consider something like this soon...just got in...been walking the fields for hours and this would have been very useful!!
  5. Buy as many tins as you can..it's old stock or he has made a mistake, a deal whatever!!!
  6. Only got the shotgun version and I struggle to see a scoped rifle in it but some say it will. I have never tried any of my rifles in it and I have no idea if they do a rifle version either...BUT ...and.......the big but is I think they are useless!! Just my opinion...you may have a specific requirement for something like this!!
  7. Yep.... I've seen several articles too but like I said... So.... where are they and who on THL has seen/shot/photographed one???....
  8. These apparently first appeared around April 1 this year..there was a lot of publicity and several comments were made on THL about them??? So where are they and who has seen/shot/photographed one??? Or was this just an April Fool???
  9. Love the look of that wood on the HMR!!
  10. Flip...1-7 twist ...what do you use this for, is this a dedicated target tool ...even 65g is heavy let alone 80g in a .223!?
  11. Funny this..out last night with Mr L and as well as shooting, we were talking about the mass of different scopes we had between us, MTC is not a brand Mr L is happy with at all, I don't have one so not in a position to comment, but I know he is not very happy with his!
  12. Interesting one this....I actually dislike the pigeon most as it causes a lot of grief and damage, the Magpie (which I expected to top the pole) is very clever, shrewd and frustratingly difficult to shoot on the whole, he is a natural survivor and exceedingly good at what he does, so I have a lot of admiration for him, but I just love to take them!!! Think it would be very interesting to post this same poll in Rifles/Shotguns section and compare the results...I suspect they may be different!!!
  13. Without doubt the second best show in the season...and I mean that as a compliment...but just done the Game Fair and no need of the Midland this year!!!
  14. Also means lamping kit/night vision for a while as those nights are getting longer......also means you are going to get very wet if the weather is anything like round here!!!! Crazy aren't we, but don't you just love it?????
  15. Probably the biggest supplier in the UK http://www.midlanddiving.com/catalog/ If you buy from a RFD the odds are he got them from this lot! ....So ...how did you charge the 410 then??????
  16. Must get me one of those rifle rests for the wing mirror
  17. Richie...Good guide, which I think I said before.... I already have the CZ Silhouette in .22LR and the factory trigger is fine (although...for the small outlay I was thinking about trying this kit anyway), but just got the Brand New CZ Silhouette in HMR and the trigger is terrible in this one, so the the situation dictated I try the kit...... Fitted yesterday to the new HMR...put in the second heaviest spring 1.5-1.75lb and the 0.012 tube! Nearly s*** myself when I dry fired it...seemed like I was just breathing on the trigger...tightened up the spring a bit ....bounced the butt all
  18. All the best with this one and it will be interesting, but I use several brands in my collection of centrefires and rimfires as I find different brands suit the different calibres and different purposes. For example in the .223 Wolf for Hunting and Barnaul for Target, .243, PPU does most things although some manufacturers light ballistic tips produce very destructive results, 7.62 Radway Green but .308 almost any brand!!!! etc etc, even bigger mix on the rimfires!!! Federal and American Eagle are the same brand, just marketed under different names! Shotgun wise I am not good enough
  19. Age 15 Size 5"2 But yeah fairly comfortable with it. I have seen Baikel in local gun shop and they were quite cheap. Cheers There you go then...answered your own question....you will also find a MUCH bigger choice of 12g guns than 410, and also a MUCH bigger choce of ammo, and as it happens lots of it cheaper than 410 ammo as well....enjoy!!!
  20. Lots of views and everyones experiences are different...that's why there ISN'T a best Deer calibre! A .243 will do the job 100% and some of the ballistic heads are brilliant...but do a lot of meat damage, they stop very well though as they tend to impart all their energy, unlike some of the heavier calibres that "can" easily pass right through! ..and as regards bigger being better..."Bullshit"...first Scottish stalk I did many, many years ago a minimum of .308 was allowed...and when I enquired what the dogs were for I was told it was to track the injured deer....."known them to run a
  21. Unfortunately ...as above...the .223 is not legal on Roe in England. You will not go wrong with a .243 but to be honest the .223 is perfectly capable on the Roe..but then there is the law so we must use bigger, but the stupidity is my .223 is conditioned for use on Roe in Scotland on my FAC!!
  22. Ben What can anyone say to answer this ...what do you want to use it for...why are you considering a 410 if you are used to a 12g...it the 12g not suitable for what you want??? Nobody can answer this question but you!!
  23. Distributed by Edgar Brothers so seemed worth a try fitting one to the new CZ Silhouette HMR. Pretty obvious how to take some of it apart but before I yank and twist and pull the baffles can someone tell me the secret of striping this down internally? Cheers
