  1. Predator 8 Calibre Inserts Now Available .17, 22, 243, 25, 27, 30 , 338, 375, 44. Others made to order.... Did you get one made to order...how much????
  2. Maybe wondering a bit but why a Mach2...do you have a very specific need, they are few and far between, ammo is not easy to find and they have not taken off at all. Don't get me wrong, they have a place but I see it as very limited, I have .22LR, .17HMR and .22WMR and I don't see anywhere that I need a Mach 2 for!!
  3. Flippen 'ek.....perhaps a word with Jackson Rifles (the importer/distributor) to see if they have any suggestions!!
  4. Asthetically it's similar but the recoil is meant to be improved yet again, they say that every time they gring a new one out, not fired the 2 together and not fired the latest model at all, so don't know.....oh yes... it costs more!!! Its a Beretta ( I have 2 ) so you will not go far wrong, but frankly, I don't know how they justify the price tag!
  5. Brief explaination...... They were deliberately introduced into this country from North America over about a 40 year period from the late 19th century. They are more aggressive/domineering than our native Red although they seldom fight, the Grey moves in and the Red just moves away. The Grey carries the Squirrel Pox Virus although is immune to it, just gives it to the Red and they die! The Grey is also well known for its tree/foliage/plant damage and has been known to take eggs and young from nests! We want the Red and want to get rid of the Grey!!!! There is lots more to the
  6. There is no season for grey squirrels in the UK. Defra and the Forestry Commission have been actively involved in a Grey Squirrel cull since February 2006, as have many other organisations and individuals. They sleep more in the winter and are generally less active (like much wildlife) but they do not hibernate! Do whatever you can, whenever you can, to rid this country of them!!! I think the 'war' is well and truly lost against them Deker mate. The best thing to do now would be to concentrate on the area's where they come into contact with our native reds, to try & h
  7. Be careful if it hits 6ft lb...you are only a tiny fraction away from 5 years in prison...and that is very powerful anyway, hardly any pistol available in the UK gets anywhere close to the limit of 6ft lb...most get up to a max of about 4.5 ft lb!

  9. Need some help please everyone.....I am developing a website for shooting accessories, bit of fishing, archery, scopes and on through the air guns, shotguns, rifles and ammo in due course, you get the idea! Now I need to call it something, options above, what do you prefer please?? I have an open mind on the name and the sites listed above are simply in alphabetical order!
  10. ...Savage ('nuff said) Sako..good, especially if your pockets are deep Ruger...not everyones cup of tea but solid and reliable Winchester...back in town..worth a look and Uncle Tom Cobbly and all....
  11. Minimum .22 CF, 50g Expanding, 1000ft lb For CWD and Muntjac in England and Wales!
  12. A few? Go on Deker, get 'the' picture out..... http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...si&img=1853 Bottom line is, I got a job in an area which was simply full of the greys, anyone could have done this, just so happened it was me, very often the odd squirrel can be more of a challenge and more rewarding than loads!
  13. If you are taking the .22LR out of the equation and if you want it for rabbits get the HMR...if you are thinking of fox as well get the WMR or a .223. The debate has raged forever about 1 gun for rabbit and fox and to be honest I don't think there is one really. The likes of Wolf or Barnaul ammo for the .223 is CHEAPER than HMR. My choice for your needs...a .22LR and a .223..but if you insist on just one the WMR!
  14. Need some help please everyone.....I am developing a website for shooting accessories, bit of fishing, archery, scopes and on through the air guns, shotguns, rifles and ammo in due course, you get the idea! OK, there are loads of sites out there, JSR, Uttings, Deben, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc............................. Which site do you like the most and why...I am talking layout, colouring, navigation, etc...not the products they sell! And again, which site do you like the least and why? Thought about a poll but it would be far too complicated so I would very much appreci
  15. I've had a few over the years, they take some stopping, need to hit them just right!
  16. Just got one direct from Eric Brooks in the States... http://cz452.com/ Ordered it on the web Saturday night arrived on the Wednesday, just 5 days later...and the best part...only cost ($15), £8.32 including delivery!
  17. It's not quite that simple if you want to be accurate, you will need to know the weight of the pellet, it's ballistic coefficient, the exact power it develops, height of scope above barrel, etc...... ...talk to Deben.... http://www.deben.com/index.php they will give you all the info you want on the scope!!! However...a bit of trial and error on a range often works wonders!!!!
  18. Optics wise, reliability and price the Night Eye range offers a good, cost effective package!!
  19. 3 Years or more in Prison and NEVER!! 3 Months to 3 years in Prison you have to wait 5 years before you can apply!! There are of course other potential problems with other crimes, particularly crimes of violence etc, even if you did not go to jail at all.
  20. Chickens love the sunflower seeds so perhaps he was just collecting some bait!!!
  21. Its not really..torch maybe but a lamping kit would probably be better, no need to spend a fortune though, get some experience first then decide what you feel would benefit you! Not a good idea to go lamping on new ground, get used to the land in daytime first! Don't shoot at eyes, be very confident of your target/backstop before you pull the trigger! Letting someone know where you are going is often recommended to! Distances are harder to judge at night so beware! Plus all the bits that others will add....
