Who was looking for a RangeFinder on here lately?
Deker replied to JohnGalway's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
May have been others but it was me to..any chance of a link or more info, I'm banned from there for telling the truth, so not going to be easy for me communicating with anyone there! Cheers -
Guys You are entitled to a view but slagging off my actions, ability or knowledge is hardly constructive!! Can I just advise you all I have done NOTHING illegal and NOTHING wrong, in fact I have performed a much appreciated service to the stable owners in this case, who transported both deer back to the motors for me in their tractor trailer!! I would have no hesitation in doing it again, and therefore any adverse comments you have are merely your opinion, which you are of course entitled to. Last figures I saw Defra estimates 182,000 TOO MANY Roe in this country...So I am happy t

Deker replied to dave123's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
No Budget!?!?!?...Can I have the one you are chucking out please. -
Welcome to the forum. As you've been away from the shooting scene for some years why do you want to come back with a semi???????? And I thought Bellinis was a place to eat. because the recoil of a gas operated auto, is like 1/2 the amount of a O/U, and i plan to do a fair bit of shooting my shoulders are a bit knackered from years of boxing and carpentry, so i feel an auto will be the way forward OK ...I missed these as well ...........Bellinis....not a gun I know...am I just uninformed or did you perhaps mean Benelli??? Stays cleaner as it works off recoil not

The questions have been answered rather comprehensively I'd say, but I'm still a little confused over this apparent pre-occupation with the .22lr bouncing all over the place...seldom is the answer... a HMR is better than a .22lr because it doesn't ricochet. Select the right gun for the job...the .22lr does have a tendency to bounce, sometimes, but if you take the shot with care it should never cause a problem.. The .22lr is still the most popular civil calibre in the world so it can't be all that bad!!

Mine was just £8 and a few pence as well when I got it direct...I hear what you say about doing 4 guns, and the odds are it will improve them all ..but you will have 4 different triggers!!

Deker, I have no wish to give my views - just a couple of observations......I have tried to stay away from this one in the hope you may let it fade away if you don't like it, but it seems some just want to look like luvvies......Your views are pretty transparent, YOU ASKED so DON'T blame me if you don't like the answers !!!!!!! I was unaware that the six species of deer in the UK are able to be termed 'Vermin' - they are clearly not. In some police areas even the fox is not categorized as vermin. I am a Game and Vermin Controller not a pest controller, I don't shoot bed bugs... so deer in

In true, typical, press fashion she was told to look mean and menacing for the photo....not sure if it worked?!?! Careful now...you know what she is capable of...must be true..it's in the SUN!!

Flippen' ek......that was some read!!!! It is more than unfortunate that The Police cannot, and do not, in many circumstances, read or understand applications! It also JUST goes wrong sometimes, and goes from bad to worse, it is unfortunate this developed in the way it did and getting on the wrong side of your Licencing Department seldom does you any good in the long run. Glad you got the result!!

I suspect all parents are proud of all their children, I certainly am, I have a son who can shoot (nearly) as well as his Dad and a daughter who has been on just about every radio station and BBC and Channel 5 TV news today..oh yes and a few newspapers............sorry, but yes, I am the beaming and VERY proud Dad!! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...ng-burglar.html

Chap First off no need to shout! Second..you don't have to have held a SGC at all before applying for a FAC! Third..costs the same as SGC, £50 or £60 co-terminus (issue) Fourth...SS has posted some useful info of FAQ, check it out! (at the top of this section)

Can't say I've ever seen/used 1's or 2's (careful now sounds like we are heading to the toilet) interested to know your views!!

Should perhaps also say that with the 452, MANY...including me, would say the Brookes or indeed the Rimfire Magic trigger kits do improve the trigger a lot...good news is they are relatively very cheap!! But personal choice yet again, my .22lr 452 still has original trigger and isn't bad now (never was bad actually) but my 452 HMR trigger was terrible, bought the Brookes straight away, and my 452 WMR is still on the original as well, and very acceptable...thruth is the HMR IS the best of the lot now! That's about the size of it...doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, if it works for you then job done!!

ATB Davy, just after you offer him a glass of your finest malt and cross his palm with folding, don't forget to ask your chances of getting a .50 Cal for bunnies!
-
NO...simply because if you ask 100 people you will probably get 100 different answers, set/2stage/creep/pull/ break/weight...simple fact is most would agree a hunting trigger and a target trigger are VASTLy different, thats about as much as I dare say! ATB

With an angry general attitude like you've shown here, and your caution for ABH only 4 years ago, applicants like yourself should get rejected straight away. If anyone need to be in possesion of firearms and shotguns it need to be calm relaxed people, not angry people like yourself, who are liable to boil over without a moments notice. Dont bother applying, have a little drink of water, but most importantly of all JUST REMAIN CALM Guys Not sure how this all came up again but.... Can I just make it very clear...I do not know this guy, have never met him or had any deal

wud you think that the remington 700 sps would be a better choice to the tikka t3 lite .243 wos thinking of changing Yes...My T3 Lite in .223 has taken me 2 years, a fortune in moderatores, scopes and yet further barrell cuts...and 150g of lead in the butt to balance it! My T3 .243 Hunter with the new shorter threaded barrel is great. I would never buy another T3 Lite...the butt end is simply too light for ANY calibre IF you hang a moderator on it. I had 3" cut from my .308 Rem SPS and it is great, would have been fine without the cut, but it did make it that bit better..

Guys I am a professional and I control whatever needs controlling in a totally legal fashion..I am not a murdering cold hearted B*****d, I love the fox too, but it doesn't stop me pulling the trigger. If this was a sporting estate I would NEVER have considered this shot..it isn't..it is vermin control and it is LEGAL and a requirement of the estate......and not that I often do, but if some of you uninformed commentaters new the 1991 Deer Act and 2007 amendment I am perfectly legally entitled to take the Doe as well. You are off course all perfectly entitled to your own opinion and

Flippin' ek...you guys are all a lot stronger than me...I'd need a forklift following me to carry that weight!!

Falcon FN19 Zeroing Scope.
Deker replied to Gaoler's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
.22 Caliber, 20lb FAC, H&N FTT. Thanks. That was a fairly important bit of info you forgot to mention, well done to ghillies for asking the obvious we all forgot!!! -
Winchester used to make some well decent rifles, not sure about Browning, but if Miroku are well involved you will not find much wrong with these! Chop the barrel and stick some lead in the butt if they are too front heavy, just like us sad T3 Lite owners have to!

Frankly Remmy I'm a little surprised you say that, I don't see a problem, this is business, but I'm not looking to cause any debate, if this becomes an issue I'd rather delete it than cause upset! I don't leave fox cubs, young rabbits or baby squirrels, doesn't seem to cause anyone grief so not quite sure why this should! Anyway, like I say, if the consensus have an issue I'll delete it!

This is NOT sport... Pest Control my friends, these are eating for Britain, and there is a pleasing quantity of what will be very tasty meat!! Another brother and a sister will be going in due course!
