From the little I know of your land John I suspect the HMR will prove useful. Just back from and early morning shoot and took 18 bunnies with the HMR out to 161 yards. Only 3 or 4 less than 100 yards. It was still and flat where I was, but lots of drizzle, almost all the shots prone and off the bipod (that's why I got soaked) but the bunnies just kept falling down! ATB!

Just back from the same place, got there 04.35 and left about 06.50. Coincidentally I got 18 bunnies again. The cleaners in the pavilion had a ringside seat and the HMR was in fine form again. I have to be out of this place by 07.00 as the staff and customers start turning up for the fitness centre, also had a guy turn up for the allotment next door at 06.45 who was a bit taken aback!! No coppers this time though! Last trip out I finished up my Hornady red tips and before I get to the blue ones I've decided to use up a couple of hundred Remington Accutip-V I recently got cheap. They

What have they charged you with???

Hi John I have them both (22lr + HMR)..and a .22WMR...... and I want to hang on to them all..the HMR seems to be doing particularly well at the moment. I think your situation may be a little different on the land front, I have loads of bits of land, some of which are just a few acres so a good gun choice is important. The HMR is a cracking tool but I have serious problems finding a moderator to do a half decent job (still looking), the wind is NOT kind to the round despite what all the charts may say, and of course the ammo is 3 or 4 times the price of .22lr. However, it is cer

Hi Davy You can't go wrong if your lad beats you..you simply trained him well Seems mine it trying to upstage his Dad, apparently he was out with Davyt63 a week or so back and knocking down quarry 150-200 yards with the .22lr and subs. Think I need to check with Davy!! Is he winding me up or have I trained him well???

Good going Davy, especially as you are using a .22 and the recognised target calibre is .177

Clean on site and feed the wildlife (fox, badger, corvids, other birds etc) with what you/your friends/your gamedealer/your pets don't want!

so is it just the convenience and lack of effort requred that makes people get the dive bottles? and how long would it take to pump something like a aas200? (im not a weed lol) It's dirt, dust and damp you potentially have an issue with on pumps, plus of course the effort. Bottled air should be clean and dry and gun filling is much quicker and easier. But you need to buy the bottle, pay for your 5 year checks and then go and get that filled when the pressure drops. Balancing act between convenience and price, you pays your money and takes your choice........bottle for me every

The quickfill adapter is usually just that, an adapter, it commonly screws on the normal filler. Depends what lead/adapter you have on your pump if it will fit...perhaps a word with the gun manufacturer/dealer is in order! the neighbours gun is the same as the one i'm getting and he uses the pump to fill his mate The pump is to some extent neither here nor there, you can put a quickfill adapter on a pump, what you need to do is make sure he has a conventional fitting and then simply take off your quickfill adapter, and if the guns are the same it will fit!

Must be some one whos came across this problem Many will have come across this problem in all sorts of scopes, although most commonly at the less expensive end of the market. No idea how to fix this specifically on a Richter but try moving the turrets FULLY from end to end of the scale a couple of times...GENTLY...and be carefully not to over stress as you get near the end stop. Leave in roughly the centre of the scale and re zero... "MAY" just free things up for you!

I go along with all of that, my main one is a .22 and runs at 26ft lb so it's a bit of a cheat compared to many and it doesn't come out too often, only as work dictates. Just started doing bunny work at a cemetery and MUST be air rifle, so many pictures, urns, flowers, lights, etc ..and of course plenty of Headstones. Anyway, I'm knocking down the bunnies commonly at 40-50 yards with head shots and watching the acrobatics as they leap 2 feet in the air and do a double back summersault...(Work with a mate there who runs a 12ft lb.177 AA and he can handle to good distance as well!) yep,

Never noticed this on any of my Harris. I get a bit of squeek on the swivels from time to time which just needs a hint of oil. I suspect this "twang" may be something to do with the springs..have any been "over stretched"...knock it around a bit and see if you can pinpoint the noise, a bit of oil or perhaps tape wrapped over the area may help! Is there anything you dont like about the CZ ? CZ is the donkeys and no advantage I can see in the SAKO, just costs more!!! And agreed, nothing flimsy about the CZ synthetic stock, its a lot more solid than the Sako in my view.....and why a 453???? Whats wrong with a 452...are you desperate for a set trigger??? Ive read that most people upgrade the trigger unit on the 424 and the 453 is suposedly better . Wrong choice ? As far as I am aware the trigger on the 453 is completely different to the 452 and is a SET trigger, the rest of the gun is identical. If you want a

No answer, it's a bit like saying which is best, a Ferrari or a Roller...they are both excellent but different, the full barrel will give you the edge in accuracy, but for most it isn't worth talking about, the 16 costs more but has the manageable edge. My CZ HMR Silhouette has the full length barrel, my Silhouette .22 lr the middle barrel and my CZ American .22WMR a 16 inch barrel. They all work for me!!

NO..Mixxy rabbits are NOT inedible to humans, or any other animal as far as I am aware. Mixxy is NOT transferred by eating, and the suggestion is Mixxy rabbits are more tasty and tender, but I have no desire to test the theory!!!
