It can be very variable. I've known us to go through quite a big area on a private road/tracks and lamped the fields with white light... ( they are used to car headlights) and we've seen nothing. We've then turned around and driven back the couple of miles and lamped the same fields and hey presto we've seen three or four, and not that far out either. So where were they on the way down about 3 or 4 minutes earlier.? this was on a big commercial shoot with a lot of birds put down.

Good work there. Most years we were on between 200...250. But we were out EVERY NIGHT. From dusk until about tenish. Sometimes it was find the burger van or just dock in for a coffee and a warm up. Sometimes we would be frozen stiff with the cold. Then back out for a second lap until about one, ish. Sometimes hundreds of acres covered for blank and one would be round the back of the yard. Generally the targets did not hold or wait about. They were gone. It was as if someone was educating them. But not us. I remember we had one run full chat straight at us and it went under the hilux,

O.k. we know what it is and what it does, but why do you want this.? Are you a local meteorologist.? Or is it to be used for a random shooting aid. Spill the beans. I've never considered the weather much, if at all. The only things that have slowed or stopped me going have been thick, thick fog or absolutely torrential thrashing down with rain.

No I haven't. It is history that allowed hittler to take advantage of a situation of financial depression. This lockdown is only a month to give the NHS a bit of help to slow the virus. I have family members who had good very well paid job, but the companies have failed and they've been made redundant. Who's going to pay their mortgages. It took sixty years to pay back the £21 billion loans from ww2. Up until August we had borrowed ten times that amount. To ignore any of this is akin to stuffing your head in the sand.
-
I am aware of the situation but back in the first session we were pinned down queuing around the car park and slowly the whole situation has changed . Everyone keèps away from others and life goes on. This virus isn't going away in the foreseeable future. And eventually it will run it's course. It will be a trade off between deaths and the economy. We.../the country will be paying the loans back for decades just like we were still paying for loans from ww2 until 2006. Sixty year for 21 billion pounds. Up until this August the gov has borrowed 210 billion pounds and we ain't even scratched

Panic buying or contingency buying. I think I might go out and buy some windscreen wipers for one of the cars. f**k it, I'll buy a packet of chocolate biscuits also. If I'm going to be locked down here with the Mrs for the next month OR more I'll have to have something to keep my strength up.

It's got to be true.. someone said that they thought a mate of there's said that it was on the front page of the Sunday Sport. In between Trump is in a wrestling match with hulk Hogan and a two headed alien has bought a semi in Tunbridge wells. Can't be wrong. It's there in black and white. Still I could be mistaken. ? I believe that this could be described as yellow journalism.

Nahhh. It's got to be a 20 Sheridan. ?? go watch some cape buffalo hunts on youtube .

When I was at primary school, the whole school used to go up the Cof E church on ascension day ,?? Two bars of holy, Holy and then off home for the day. My best mate suddenly tells the teacher her ain't going cos his mum says he is a JW . No one had ever heard about it. Seeing as the school was a Cof E school the head wasn't that amused. Mate stayed in the school fot the whole day. Many years went by and he married a nice girl. She wasnt JW. He went out shagging some other party. His Mrs got her own back on him by telling the JW mother. Matey was wheeled in, cap off, court martialed and

The trouble is that you never know who the other bloke is. A bloke was out in a kit car that he built and it broke down. A transit pulled up with four bruv lads in it. The proceeded to take the piss out of him and started to get physical. Big mistake the bloke was black belt x Dan something and he gave all four of them a right hiding. They managed to crawl back into the transit and slope off with their tail between their legs. A bit of life experience there. Perhaps they'll drive on by. You never know Next time it could be Ronnie Pickering.

????? the bit a 3.00. ........ Do you do this as a f***ing hobby.? And when they are having it out on the junction, the bloke in the car sounded like the Verger in Dad's Army. "The reverend will hear of this". ????

It could be legal because the gun is not a shoulder weapon and the boat has to be pointed. But if the ban is tied in to lead shot positioning to duck, what is the difference of where it came from. The lead shot is the same ( apart from shot size ) out of a 12 bore or a 2 bore. King the duck murderer. ???

Well there you go. As far as the knowledge of the foe or plod their just a waste of time. They could have sent the postman or anyone out to se if you had a cabinet that was secured to the house. My internal or external secunity hasn't been been physically checked for the last fifteen + years. And now they ask a doctor who doesn't know me from Adam to tick a load of boxes about me. And charge me 30 quid for the privilege. Then they get the wording on the cert wrong and it has to be sent back. All you got to do now is wait and see. Then if you get issued be a good person or else the time

NO, it doesn't look like it. Here is a link to a debate in parliment about lead shot regs. I did start to read it and the content was quite sensible but it got to deep for me. No wonder they fall asleep in there. Anyway fill the blighter up with pea beach stones. Roofing felt nails or similar crap. If the lump of scaffold tube barrel wears out just cut a new scaffold tube up and re Barrel. I dont know if you could use galvanized steel shot.?f https://api.parliament.uk/historic-hansard/lords/1999/nov/09/environmental-protection-restriction-on

You're not being sarcastic as wiĺ are you.? Ah, Sarcasm is supposed to be the highest form of wit. We're not in for another stupid waste of time about big cats again are we.?? And all over a picture that could be absolutely anything. It ain't a car or a plane, perhaps it was superman.!!!

Upon what basis do you make these statements. ? The picture is so unfocused that it could be anything. ?

Can't identify the target. Is it some sort fungi.?

Consider this one. A duck decoy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_decoy_(structure)

I had thought about this but I didn't like to mention it as it might be thought that I was some sort of kill joy but times have changed and you've only got to have some do gooder call the rspca in and you've got problems. I hadn't thought about this one. I don't suppose anyone thought about this because it ain't usual to shoot wildfowl with single shot anything. Although I did know a bloke who used to shoot Canada's through the neck with a 222 from distance.

Yes, BUT this is a bit simplistic. Ok in theory but not in practice. Duck are quite tough to kill and VERY wary. An air rifle ain't exactly the tool for the job. Fair enough if you hit on in the head it will die but if you hit one flying, all you will do is wound it. A single pellet from an airgun. ( even a powerful one) won't kill a duck when hit in the body.. I've seen a fair few birds and animals with air gun pallets in them. even a 22 rimfire is unlikely to kill a duck unless hit in the heart. Another consideration is if you shoot one in the head and kill it, the duck is going to

It must be a terrible situation to be in where there aren't any jobs of any sort out there and people's hopes and dreams are being strangled by covid. But there have always been areas of the country where some people have no comprehension of getting up for work. They've never worked or their father or their father afore that. It isn't anything new and thirty years ago the local butcher told my sister that she was one of a very few who bought extra meat when the kids were on summer holiday. There is a lot of hardship and a lot of self indulgent spending. It's like all those refugees on L

My unfashionable, highy modified but incrediblely accurate BSA shoots any brand equally accurately but it really is a tack driver with RWS subs that I laid in stock. I haven't specifically found any real difference in any brand of 22lr in that I can feel fairly confidant about taking headshots out to about eighty paces Free hand. the only thing that I have noticed is that a lot of American brands tend to be on the hot side and aren't very accurate. As far as smallbore target ammo for competition is concerned most of American target ammo is rubbish. I bought a thousand rounds of Remingto
