  1. Yes mate, much preferred to hunt them daytime, busher and runner or as long as your Lurcher keen enough you don’t really need a busher to nock them up as they will sit tight, like you say a bit wasted on the lamp for a bigger dog.
  2. here’s a pic of a munty buck if you can make it out. There like rabbits round by us. As I have thermal I can easily go out for 4 hours lamping and spot 5,6,7. Like people say they do mainly stick to the edges and dikes but they often venture out aswel. They are tough little fuckers for there size but for me if a dog had one out in the field they shouldn’t really get away unless close to cover as they will just put there heads down and smash whatever’s in there way. I’m sure they would try and go through a brick wall if that was what was in front of them, I find them quite thick to be honest. Y
  3. It must be you with the bad omen and falling in water up to our necks. I was f***ing freezing that night I done it we were out. Then I went and done it start of season within the first few trips of season. Luckily I’d prepared for the next time with spare clobber in the jeep. I am only 5ft though so a puddle does me ?
  4. Yep. There’s work going on everywhere round by us now. A few places we have gone for a wander the last few seasons are full of machinery and workers now digging the place up. Shame really but the way the worlds changing I suppose it was inevitable it would go ahead. Well they’ve already started, didn’t think they would have done all they have to now change there minds
  5. No probs mate, I got my idea of someone I know to be honest but if it works for you that’s all you need. I’ve got the end space as a prep area with a couple of chest freezers down there and keep the leads and lamp down there. I don’t have a door on but it’s deep enough so I can hang stuff up and do what I need to do down there. Hope all goes well .Atb Igz
  6. I think it’s the bull look. Can’t beat it I don’t think
  7. He’s saluki bull grey x Wheaton bull grey mate
  8. This ones got a bit of saluki in him aswel. 14 months now 25 TTS. Mainly use him for lamping and he turning into a decent dog for me ?
  9. Both mine are kennelled together but that’s as I left young dog in there from pup and still plenty of room but I’ll separate them this summer as he’s a bit older and settled. You don’t need planning mate there’s just a few rules you have to stick to. Think no higher than 3 metres off the ground although mine finished just a touch over about 3.2 and something to do with the boundries. If you look it up on google it will tell you all you need to know. Anything else I can help with just give me a shout. Atb Igz
  10. Lift up lid on some hinges on the sleep box so easy enough to clean out if needed but I don’t bother as I don’t use straw. Atb Igz
  11. A few pics of mine. Drainage at the front of the runs and sleep box at the back. Rubber floor with a few blankets and what not and heat lamp for good measure when it drops to a few degrees
  12. Was out with my young one this morning just me and him just looking at a spot I’ve looked at and thought I need to have a mooch about over there. Ground was like concrete, but was happy as I seen a few things about, promising signs so back with the lamp once the ground softens
  13. Don’t think you can go wrong with a bull round kids mate as long as you get it from a pup. To me there one of the best breeds round them. Pit, Staff, everyone I’ve ever seen or the staff I have are brilliant with the kids. Looks a nice pup and sire looks handy. Atb Igz
  14. Totally agree. Dogs all the way for me
  15. Like I said I don’t have years and years of experience like a lot but in the 4 years I’ve been hunting I’ve been keen to get out plenty. Up until this season he was always worked just me and him occasionally been out with a mate. He has plenty of speed power and heart. He also has his faults but like yours, not many,he doesn’t retrieve. Rather go dig a little hole and lay them to rest ?. He will run bunnies and catch but his hearts not really into that sort of stuff but give him any decent task and hel complete it till the end. Like I say worked single handed last four seasons and will take a
  16. Ffs lads what do you want for £850, they’ve told you the pup will come with a collar and lead ??
  17. He’s welcome to message me mate if he’s interested and we could have a chat, also have someone else who’s interested in using him when the bitch breaks down but we shall see. Can’t say I know loads about the working dog game as I’m only into my fourth season now but my dogs are out 4-5 times a week grafting and he gives 110 percent on everything and has done since I’ve had him. Prey drive is second to none and works night after night. Rarely laid up in fact it was only 3 days before he was bouncing around ready for the off after ripping his whole nail off last month. I’ve seen him hit trees in
  18. Just had a look. Vetsupplyausralia. That’s not where I normally get mine but they have it on there and they have a sale on at the minute. Decent prices. I’m ok to see me through season else I’d order some myself
  19. Type it into google mate advocate for dogs you’ll find somewhere that does it just won’t be from uk. Think the place I get mine from is an Australian company. Can’t think of name, I’ll try have a look . Atb Igz
