  1. That bloke wouldn't have been very useful when I had to part the mrs pig dogs, a Bull Mastiff and an English Mastiff/bull terrier fighting over a bitch. I managed to lasso the English cross who was killing the Bull Mastiff but it was like two dinosaurs fighting, lol.
  2. Most working terriers aren't happy being just family pets. Also lines of rabbiting lurchers over here aren't suitable, my mate got one as a pet and it chased fies around the house constantly and was a nervous wreck so he rehomed it to a hunter. Proper hunting dogs might survive as pets but they could end up neurotic and unbearable to live with so it's not fair to dog or owner having one imo.
  3. Wondering if they ate rabbit before. My dogs wouldn't eat rabbit after a hunt but scoffed it down a day later after thawing a frozen one from a previous hunt.
  4. I like getting good working homes for the odd litter I've bred but you can only guess how they will be treated even if you think you know the person.
  5. I wouldn't like doing that, shooting animals in a cage isn't hunting and I do like ferrets.
  6. Oh ok, I couldn't get the story up but that would be pretty good job with a few harder type terriers.
  7. I have an elderly lady friend who breeds show Russells, they have perfect conformation, coats. They are just little fluffy pets though, that's it. Even she says she would love to own my terriers but she couldn't handle them. The show cattle dogs here are mostly just that now, a pet in working dog clothes. Her dogs are bought by pet, show people and suit that, the only two pups of mine that went to pet homes were returned as were too full on. I shouldn't have let them go to these homes but we have only a very small number of people who work terriers in NSW.
  8. The way it's getting over here trying to get hunting perm I'd be tempted to offer it a blowey (joking) probably just a handjob ?.
  9. I know what you mean but she might be into a religion and that might be good for her. I respect other people's beliefs as long as they don't preach and expect me to believe it but yeah, not much use unless she wants to be a priest, minister or something.
  10. Does anyone really care if some poof wants to dress as a women and ramble crap. My kids would have just thought he was a silly fag and took no notice because I taught them to use their brains. I do have a problem with people preaching their beliefs to others that are not interested though and my kids were thrown out of class for daring to question a religious teacher. As jukel said these LBQ mofo's are classic narcissists and glory in good or bad attention, just ignore the cnts ?.
  11. I feel sorry for it but with it being disabled probably more likely to target chickens and new born lambs.
  12. Has he got bull blood if that's him with the brindle markings?
  13. I thought priests didn't have sex, with adults anyway.
  14. I've had a few dogs over the years and you'd think you would get used to them passing but as I'm getting older it just gets sadder. My blue whip/stag was the worst. Shady and her two mates, also gone now.
  15. I believe stress causes a great range of illnesses in all creatures, including humans.
  16. One thing is most will bare their teeth first if you get too close to the owner, it's not a bluff. Most will bite then back off, not a full blown attack like a bandog or similar. I really don't think they suit most city environments with the lawsuits these days.
  17. What worries me is their burst in popularity with a cartoon called Bluey. People are breeding them everywhere over here as pets and some are just that now. Every kid wants one and the original temperament is getting lost or the good ones end up in pounds being too full on for most families.
  18. They still use them, mostly on hard cattle but kelpies or crosses of the two are used mostly for stock work. They are the best dog for guarding your truck hands down.
  19. They like biting. If anyone even touches your truck they'll be bitten.
  20. Don't worry or be too hard on the whippets, they are dickheads when young. I just ignore the BS and praise the good stuff. They are great little dogs and love to please you. He looks a good type and I'm sure he will do you proud mate ?.
  21. I think it's a bit of a fun game for young whippets but once they mature they never look back. Same with most sighthounds I think.
  22. Take the dog to a rubbish tip and lift a few pieces of tin. The dog will teach you.
