  1. Always mate........ There's no greater satisfaction Whether tuning a springer or refinishing a stock, my advice would always be - do a bit of research then get stuck in. Nath and Mac are both top blokes - I'm sure they'll give you all the advice that you need Atb
  2. Hi Gnash, You and me kind of had that conversation on another thread and, I think I may have not put my view across very well. Please, don't get me wrong, I'm not some animal rights luvvie.... There are good dogs and there are bad dogs. There are good owners and there are bad owners. As already said in this thread, problems occur when people stop remembering that they have an animal living in their home. ..... A dog is a dog is a dog. It's a basic pack animal with muscle and teeth. Whether it weighs 4kg or 40kg. The dog is a basic animal with basic instincts and relativel
  3. Never tried an Ox but, I've heard they can add a lot of power and be difficult to tame. Was nearly 30. The titan one I took a single coil off severel times and seated it. When happy polished it and bingo. 30 ftlb?
  4. See what you've gone and done now Phil - it's the pigeon drawing again

  6. I'm out of likes for today but, well done mate - hope it's everything you expect
  7. Cornered they will give it there all , which can be a big all ...and see what two bucks can do to each other .. I was walking along an overgrown disused road one night at about 1am. Me and a friend had rifles and nv. A Muntjac barked in the copse about 2mtrs away from us. My mate nearly shat himself, I fell about laughing. I'll be a bit more wary next time. We see them quite often when we're out.
  8. No worries mate. Feel free to pm whenever - Always happy to help

  10. Titan springs seem good Mark ..... well engineered and treated if the sales blurb is accurate. I put one in my TX about 1500 shots ago and its doing well. There's nothing wrong with my AA spring - I just like to experiment. Also, I know a good man who swears by red rubber grease on the spring. He has warned me to use it sparingly though as it can push up the fps.
  11. They're nice to shoulder. The stippling on the grip and under the fore end seem to be in the perfect place. Plus I do like heavy springers.
  12. I keep looking at the 98. My rfd has got a used one in really good nick. That fecker will skint me
  13. I know mate - it's been a blessing in disguise that they're poor through most rifles
  14. I don't know for sure but, nowadays, anything's possible - there's loads of kit and tuners out there that could probably sort a gauge. From those pictures, I think you sould buy it
  15. ...... these are the ones Si. Vicious little buggers If they work of course.
  16. An A&M Marksman on my .22 TX makes a very small difference in noise when I'm stood 30yrds away - We tested it at the range last week. With or without, the actual noise from the rifle was very quiet. Adding the silencer did drop my POI by around 3/4" at 30yrds.
  17. Cheers Si, I'll give that a whirl These hornets are nasty little things with their brass tips. They'd be devastating if they were more accurate. I've tried both calibres in a fair few rifles and, they're usually all over the place. But, this S10 seems to have a few surprises for me. I'll try them at different ranges and see how they get on
  18. The .177 shorts did well in my .177 HW100 out to 40yrds. These .22s are standards that I bought to try in my TX but, they didn't do very well at all. I might buy some shorts to try in this S10.
  19. If I ever wear a onesie I hope someone from this forum is good enough to do their civic duty and come to Swindon and euthenise me
  20. Well you learn something new every day - I always thought of Muntjac as timid hiders.
  21. The previous owner might have had weights in those holes. It's the only reason I can think of. As DJ says, try to knock him down a bit more Good luck
  22. The real surprise of the morning was these ......H&N Hornet. They've always been shite in anything I've tested them in, .177 & .22 (Apart from a .177 Edgun Lelya). I wanted to test Polymags but, they won't cycle in the mag because of their length. These Hornets did well at 28yrds and, they drilled right through nearly 3" of brochures and into a breeze block wall behind.
