It's Not What I Wanted But ............
Jonjon79 replied to Jonjon79's topic in General Airgun Discussion
The other side of the stock. -
........ I suppose it'll do I popped down to my favourite RFD yesterday - I had every intention of buying a .177 S200, then badgering Marky71 for a custom stock But, all they had was .22s and, 6ftlb .177 version What they did have was a full length HW100 in a very nice walnut sporter stock but, it was a .22 - Bugger! I had another look round and, I found a .177 in a thumbhole stock After a chat with my ol' mate Paul, I walked out with a full length .177 HW100 in a very nice stock, an MTC opisan EVX 5-20x50i scope and some other bits and pieces - with a very healthy disc

I agree mate I cooked my last one in olive oil, skin on but, the lucky mutts got most of it as a treat Mark - post that recipe up mate, I'd love to give it a whirl Pigeon & Bacon Pasties ( pigeon meat and bacon are a lovely combination) Here you go Jon, 2 Pigeons so -( 4 breasts) 3 slices fat free bacon ( not smoked) half a small swede cubed ( half cm cubes) 2 carrots chopped into small cubes. 2 spring onions chopped finely pack of puff pastry Fry pigeon strips to seal. Fry bacon, then chop up and mix in a bowl with the pigeon.

Spot on Malt - I agree on both counts

Good advice. Spring's been a long time coming, but seems it's really here at last. That old sun always lifts the spirits. I live in the Smoke, too (Peoples' Republic of Islington) and know what you mean about worrying that the neighbours might have a fit if they see you with something in a gun-shaped case. Fortunately, I play the bass, so when I take my guns out, I use a couple of gig bags. HW95 is almost exactly the same length as a Fender Precision and fits in a treat. I visited my daughter in Manchester recently and went by train (cheaper than petrol with the senior railcard and much quicke

I know someone that could knock him up a nice chow mein with what's in his freezer

A chap called Geoff Bullock. He's done some right work in the past... Shrouds, tuning, actions and so on. A TX he did a few months ago made me slobber. He's definitely got some skill, I might have to look him up. I wonder what he could do with a 97

It's a funny ol' thing - I grew up on a council estate in a town then, 10yrs ago, we moved to semi-rural Wiltshire to raise our daughter. I've been back to hunting wth air rifles for about 2 1/2yrs. One of my permissions has public rights of way cutting through it in a few places. I always try to be discreet when I see people because I'm carrying a rifle but, to date, I haven't met anyone here that gave a toss. They either just say 'Hi', stop and chat for a minute or, just wish me 'good luck'. So far so good

That is very nice Any idea who did the work? I don't recognise the sticker. And, you're right, a custom stock would finish that off really nice.

It's one of these mate ....... a nice find that size.

Oh that flippin' Welshie - What's he like eh

As far I can tell, the whole things a bloody mess - Not just Syria, any part of the middle east that we've touched. I've seen plenty of bombing and destruction but, no serious rebuilding or trying to help the normal folk.

I enjoy shooting it down the club mate, no hft for me I do enjoy my time down the club on a Saturday but that's as far as I'm doing.I enjoy my hunting even more with both my crickets. Hopefully see you down the club soon mate. Mark. All being well, I should be down there this weekend mate. You should give their competitions ago - I've always thought that hunters make better shots than the HFT boys
-
Absolute scum. There's no need for that. I hope they break into the wrong house one day.
-
You flash git If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were taking up HFT now? That's not the only work you've been doing - the garden's looking good mate Atb

There's f**k all wrong with those vaccines - they're there to stop kids and people getting ill. As for the daft tart in the story refusing to give her kids Calpol - I guess she's been lucky enough to never witness febrile convulsions. Tomo - good on your mate, I'd be doing exactly the same in his situation ...... Kids need a good balanced diet, including meat and protein. Feckin' oddball vegans

Dog thieves are scum. There was a case round here recently where the dog nearly tore the thieves a new one
